| Quote hullbg="hullbg"Laying on in the tackle is something that needs sorting it is killing the game as a spectacle. As for the chavs and obsessions with our neighbours unfortunatley it isn't just the chavs

When I watch games on tv, I'm surprised at some of the surrender tackles that are called, allowing more generous lying on by the defenders. Maybe a bit less leniency in this area would speed things up

I enjoyed the game anyway though, just a shame for you about the group of chavs in the corner. They only seem to care about Hull KR and laying on in the tackle. The rest of the time they were waving at us lot.'"
To be honest and I've said this on the B and W board I think 'Chav Corner' is being dealt with now and it was certainly so much better than on our previous visits. The Stewards were confident and not putting up with the numpties in there and I was probably sat the closest to the 'corner' than anyone else was so I can speak with a bit of confidence here.
We even left the KC without having any abuse thrown at us so big improvement really.

A chav is a chav. Unfortunetly, we have just got them concentrated in one corner. They definetly walk amongst us at other grounds as well and are just as bad. Best to just ignore them, or laugh at them. They are cringe worthy for us FC fans, but I think most people gave up been annoyed with them ages ago.

That's probably so, but it would reward players who drop to the floor the instant they are touched just so they can get a quick PTB and catch the defenders offside. Personally, I don't think such tactics enhance the game and they shouldn't be encouraged. I'd go so far as to say that surrender tackles should get even longer than dominant, for just that reason.

Seemed to be alot of officials around that area last night. I was sat behind the sticks and we seemed to be getting plenty of waving and finger signs so i just waved back !!!
All teams have chavs we had a group of them behind me, back end of last season its best to ignore them but unfortunely the rest of the fans get tarnished with the same brush

| The Chav Corner has existed for a long time and it appears nothing is ever going to be done. As has been said, the best thing to do is just ignore them completely. Unfortunately it's difficult and there's always some away fans that will at least wave or clap them sarcastically, which just encourages them more. Most of them spend more time looking at the away fans than they do actually watching the game.
Don't let it tarnish the rest of the fans though. Aside from the annoying shouting for penalties I've mentioned on another thread (which is only an annoyance, it's hardly bad behaviour), they're actually a decent set from my experience. I always park in the big car park (Anlaby Road is it?) and when you're walking back to the car after a game, there's not many Bulls fans, but you're surrounded by Hull supporters. I've never once had a single one of them say anything bad or look to start trouble, and it would be easy for them in that situation. The only time any of them have spoken to me was in a friendly way.

| Is it just me or did anyone else notice that 'chav corner' was a lot less foul mouthed and generally aggressive. I was sat right at the side of the corner and the stewards were a lot more active and there was a definate lessening of the usual garbage that comes from there.
I was watching the game and not the crowd in that corner for a change but was that just me?

There were plenty of officials in that area, i think there was a bit of scuffle because i saw a official go into the middle of them probably just before half time, and then they were a bit quieter after that. i think there more noise coming from the east stand with forward.............................
I have never had a issues with any FC fan seem to be quite a good set of fans.

Thanks clared.
Yes they had a couple of incidents where the stewards went in but before I say much more feedback wise I wanted to make sure it was not just me thinking and feeling being there that things had improved on the chav control front.
