Hey, you can't give special treatment to one of the Cumbrian teams by forcing them into a division they haven't prepared for and dooming them to get thrashed every week and relegated back to Championship 1 anyway. The lucky buggers. That wouldn't be fair on everyone else!

Up to this point I fully appreciate the difficult situation the Bulls seemed to be being forced into , but it's getting silly now , seems like too much smoke and mirrors by all concerned , it won't end well IMO

At the risk of more abuse it was told yesterday the administrator was at the meeting with the players and staff in which he has sold assets like the Bradford Bulls logo and web domain to Richardson Thorne in the hope of challenging the RFL for the license that they have bought the rights. This really is Green's last roll of the dice. Green is confident of pulling this off hence why everyone met the players yesterday.

Mate. It's an administration. Ten years ago this would have seemed like a surprise last minute bid if it went through and then we all found out about it.

There's nothing silly about it, bar the detail. Detail is always silly for those to whom that detail does not apply.

But you could have said that in 1964 when the club was re-formed then having gone bust in 1963, but as far as I can see "Bradford Bulls" has always claimed all the history back to 1863.

Personally I have no problem with any Bradford "NewCo" claiming all the Bradford history from 1863-2016, why would you not?

I just wish the "NewCo" all the best (except when playing Fev obviously) especially for the Bradford fans. We are (or at least we should be) one big RL family, okay we bicker from time to time, but we all morn when one of our own is afflicted.

That said. An orchestration of this by Green in which he remains involved worries me.

It looks increasingly like an attempt by Pettit and Green (and Richardson) to back the RFL into a corner. Contracts have apparently been signed, promises have been made - bit it doesn't seem to me that anyone is a position to do so - as the operation doesn't yet have the necessary RFL license to play in the competition. The whole things looks, well, frankly, a bit dodgy...

I can't see the RFL simply rolling over and accepting this, and fear it could all end very badly.

As much as I thank you for sharing your insider knowledge, now that your son has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement you would be very wise to not post too much detail and I would totally understand you choosing not to do so.

With regards to the info that has been divulged...

1. The statement from the RFL yesterday outlined the criteria for entering a NEW Bradford club, it doesn't mean those criteria would apply to re-admittance of the EXISTING club...

2. The RFL openly stated their view that we need Bradford in RL, they are desperate for there to be a Bradford club ready to start the season. However underhanded you feel this attempt may be, it sounds like Richardson & co have fashioned a situation where we have a club ready to go - the kits that have already been produced can be used, players have signed, everything is in place - with the season kick off so close, the RFL would be equally stupid to turn this down just to "save face" considering they have played a part in this whole farce anyway.
And also, allowing the existing Bulls to continue, rather than a phoenix Bulls, removes the "fairness" argument about their decision to keep Bradford in the Championship.
