| Ditto, credit card for me, but to be fair would have been anyway, but hadn't considered the protection available if we don't make it to the start line

| Quote: HamsterChops "I would agree with that. It is up to each individual person, and I take my hat off to those who are still sticking with the club after it, as I honestly couldn't do it. Actually that's wrong, I couldn't stick with the current owner if it was done. I would walk away until said owner who made the decision to shaft me had left.
You're absolutely right when you say legally, the club have done nothing wrong. Morally though, they have. And your example of people buying season tickets now and not having them honoured if the club changed hands before the season starts is spot on.
I tend to agree with the club's stance in the last 2 years of you get admission to the ground but not the other membership benefits. I think that's ok and a small price gets your those benefits too. But what they're doing now is a disgrace.
I appreciate some people will defend every decision the club makes regardless of how good or bad it is. What I don't agree with is the suggestion by Blotto that those of us not directly affected (us "3rd parties"icon_wink.gif shouldn't have an opinion on it. Sure I won't take any action as I personally haven't been affected, it's down to those who have to deal with it how they see fit. But I won't let that stop me expressing the opinion that I feel they have been shat upon by a club that constantly wants people to be loyal to it.'"
TBH you are right we have and I still think the club should and could do more by us! But I still want to watch rugby and want to watch Bradford Bulls and care about them as a club. And that is the hard part, I'm completely torn as to what to do and I'm gutted to be in this situation where I feel upset at a club I've been around since I was 8 and is a massive part of my life. But I do appreciate the opinion that I haven't paid anything to the existing Bradford Bulls entity and they feel I've had more than I should have had considering the circumstances.

So are you now down as a creditor for the old Bradford club for the seasons that they owe you?

What would be the point?

No, and it has put a massive downer on the fact until this point my other half was getting into the rugby and we were going to get a season ticket for him even though he'd miss a few games with work but it just isn't a luxury we can afford now.

It has always been my understanding that paying for anything on a credit card makes the credit card company as liable as the supplier in the case of non performance.
There are some exceptions of course but I can not see any problem with buying my own season ticket (over £100 minimum) on my own credit card (the wife pays for her own on her own credit card - as opposed to an additional user on mine)
Should the club go tits up I would expect the credit card company to shell out.
If some legal member has further info on this I would be pleased to hear from them.
My own take on this is embodied here
I've bought on credit card for the last few years for exactly this reason. I believe visa issued debit cards also have the same protection.

I'd also take note from someone not associated with a club that itself had issues paying the tax man (among others) in their very recent history.
Those in glass houses and all that poop
Can you elaborate on the "systematically shafted opposition fans" comment? It's a genuine question, as most away fans join the Fax faithful in the South Stand for £17. It's only when Leigh/Bradford/Featherstone come into town that the North stand has been used. Are you saying that it was more than £17 in the North Stand at the Shay. Bad form if so, and I admit something I was unaware of.
In terms of the tax man, I've not heard anything about that from a Fax perspective regarding unpaid bills? It's true we were in dispute with the Council over rent payments, but these issues seem to be resolved now.

| Quote: HamsterChops "The £2 hike for gameday is fairly common. There are a number of clubs have done the same for years (Huddersfield is the first one I remember doing it). It's all to try and get people buying in advance really.
All your other points though, I don't think any sane person would argue with. I get the club is a business and needs to be run as such, but it does often feel like the fans that are still sticking with it are being constantly asked to put more and more money in to make up for those that are no longer on board.'"
Tbh, I don't disagree with the £2 hike in principle. What got my goat was that there was a £2 admin charge per ticket for booking tickets online, which meant the only way to get the "normal" price was to visit the Bulls ticket office in person. Not exactly ideal for an away supporter - I was happy to buy in advance, but there was no advantage!

So the club has lost the income from one new ST purchase. Great marketing strategy from the club then...

I would check if that is the case should anyone go down that route - I thought it was for credit transactions only
Also I heard somewhere that credit card payments via paypal are also excluded.

For years Halifax up'd the prices on tickets for Bulls games, starting at Thrum Hall around the time "BullMania" all kicked off. Think the first time I remember it was 1996 when there was the televised sky game where Bulls staged a second half comeback to win. It continued for years afterwards, including at The Shay. I've refused to go to Fax ever since just on principle, but have considered returning in past year of two.
With regards to Tax bills, again I remember one for definite years ago and had mistakenly thought I'd read about one recently. However I was wrong and it was in fact your rent payments.

I believe that was done and I refused to go to that match on principle. It is though now common practice in the football world to grade your games and charge accordingly.
