Slightly Bulls related news, Danny Addy is out for the entire 2018 season after injuring his knee playing for KR in Danny Houghton's testimonial at the weekend.
Poor bloke, imagine putting in all that hard work in pre-season then having that happen to you only weeks from the start of the campaign.

In true Danny Addy fashion too, he picked up the injury after he started the game at centre and was moved to hooker when Tommy Lee went off. Utility extraordinaire.

Seriously though, it's terrible luck. First season back in Super League since we got relegated and he's going to miss the whole thing. Looking at the rest of KR's squad, there's every chance they'll be back in the Championship by the time he's back.

Saw him walking up the steps on Sunday and questioned what he was doing. Turns out he was sat in the Sheffield box with Senior.

I remembered seeing Senior in the 'warm ups' but was surpised not to see him in his usual role of defensive organiser - so, it seems he does induction courses as well then.

I honestly don't know who it is, was just told it was a marquee type player - it's been in the works for a few weeks now, so the deal is either pretty complicated or involves other parties.

I've been racking my brain for who's available that would fit 'marquee' and 'crowd pleaser' and have decided it's not someone currently in England, but I'm guessing as much as you guys.

Marquee player in Championship 1 is a different matter altogether.

Kear has mentioned a couple of times that it would be a signing that would 'please' the supporters. He's said words to that effect in the press more than once!

That suggests it's either someone who has previously played for us (and been very well liked - so NOT Richie Mathers lol), or someone whose name would be known. So I don't see it being some random Papua New Guinea guy who only extreme RL nuts would have even heard about.

I don't really see Kear as a bs merchant, so I'm thinking that it will either by Sironen, Moss (unlikely); a very recognisable name from a Championship club, or a SL player coming to the end of his career.

Can't fault that analysis Paul. Here's hoping.
