| Happy to give the lad a chance but I'm really hoping he's seen as a squad player rather than a starter. Hope he's not the back they eluded to and there are more signings on the way

| Quote: redeverready "Would we have signed Reardon 3 - 4 years ago no, so why now. This signing is very similar to that of Nathan McAvoy in his 2nd stint and i can't remember every one been happing with that either.'"
3 - 4 years ago?
You mean in 2005 or 2006?
He played for us in 2005. He spent a lot of time injured but despite this was selected for England and also the GB tour though he didn't play. So yes, I reckon we would've signed a current fringe international in 2005. And we made him a further offer in 2005, so the record shows that we would certainly have signed him
2006 he by all accounts had a good year with Wire. He only scored 4 tries in 22 games but 2 of those were against us, and was their top tackle-buster with 66.
Why do you reckon we wouldn't have signed him? I don't get it.

None of the squad should be "starters" the first 13 should be picked on form and if Stuart shows good form in pre-season, training and is one of our 5 best backs then he should start IMO.

There are more than a few regular female posters on here.
It'd be interesting to hear their views . . . . .'"
The ones I know seem pretty happy he is back at the Bulls. It would seem Reardon was a bit of 'eye candy'.

I think what Red means that in 2005 we wouldn't have signed a player like the Reardon of 2009?

So you DO have a record of assault against your wife, even if not "one to speak of"?? Apart from this record, though, how do we know you haven't beaten her for years, though? "Unless one actually lived in the same house as ME and his Mrs then one cannot possibly know the full story?"
So, you'd say it is fair to label you forever a (self-confessed) fraudster and a thief, as well as a wife-beater, then?
'"
That is enough FA. Comments like that are well out of order given the fact that there is no truth in it whatsoever.
Please put me back in you precious "bin". It is much better on here when I do not have to be subjected to you.

Oh do us all a favour, will you? Firstly, you (presumably?) know and understand that I don't say you are a wife-beater, but was simply making a satirical point taking advantage of your gaffe admitting that you are a wife-beater, if only in a small way. So what do you find out of order?
You said (and I quote). '"
In your case, it's necessary to spell things out, because you either don't understand, or feign not to. But anyone with a passable knowledge of English useage understands your phrase to mean you DO have such a record, just one that you consider trivial.
You can ask anyone, that is what you said, and that is what it means. But, as I say, it always seems to need spelling out to you, so here's the online Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary definition
Definition
[sizenone to speak of[/size
([sizeALSO[/size no [isth[/i to speak of)
very little of something
"Did you get much rain while you were in Singapore?" "None to speak of."
[size(Definition of none to speak of from the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)[/size
'"
Meaning, YES, there was some rain, but hardly any so not worth mentioning.
So, you are claiming to take great offence when in fact I was just taking the mick from your unintentional and amusing admission. I can't quite work out whether you really didn't get it, or whether you're just trying to make trouble.
Most people, when their gaffe was pointed out to them, would blush, say "Doh!" and grin ruefully. You run straight for the high horse, and compound your mistake. Grow up, man!

| I think we've moved sufficiently off the Reardon re-signing topic enough now.
Please can any further discussion stay on topic.

He's the prince, he may be the king once Sculthorpe retires (hopefully after injury in the first round of SL).
