I'm very disappointed, and concerned. The former will remain; I hope and pray the latter will be short-lived. We'll not pay for a top coach on 7-8k gates though.'"
Yep, me too. I just hope fans are not expecting too much from the new appointment, I suspect we wont be shopping in the top bracket, however I also hope the club manage to pull an ace out of its sleeve...

I think the next hot shot assitant down under is called Stuart Flannagan from Cronulla. I've heard his name being bandied about quite a few jobs including the Parra one before Anderson got it. He's also NSW or was at one point not so long back.'"
Goes without saying, but just in case its probably best you said it anyway, no worries
Flannagan? Ok cheers for the name, thats one of tomorrows lunchtime google searches sorted then.

I heard that name, from someone who posts on here, a couple of weeks back.
I've said before, if we lose Macca we need to look at Australia if we can stretch to it. Sodding weak Sterling isn't helping matters. McDerrmott would be the pick of the Brit crop for mine.

| I think people are confusing Shane Flanagan with 'Stuart' who is a Cronulla player.

Yeah it was me.
If we were going for a British coach then I'd opt for Nobby, but failing that Big Mac too. At least he's had a few seasons coaching at SL level and a few seasons under Smithy at Leeds. He's also a fitness man and keen on junior development, but a you say, we need to look to Aussie.

Well I knew who I meant. I actually meant to change it when I realised I'd typed it. Flannagn is the assistant, that remains the same.

| The name given to me was Stuart Flanagan. Which puzzled me very much since Google told me he was a player. A bit more googling later turned up Shane Flanagan, which I assumed...or at least hoped...was who was meant. So I put that away in a compartment until something to clarify turned up!

| Many thanks to all of those who have put my name forward for the job. It kinda shows that I am maybe a bit more important on here than some people try to claim.
However, lets be honest, there is hardly a hard act to follow to be fair.
How England fair under his leadership I do not really care being a Scotsman but I am just glad that it looks like he will not have anything to do with Bradford for much longer.
It was mentioned earlier that it will be hard to get a top replacement on gates of 7-8K a week. Who then is the most responsible for the dwindling crowds? The very man that is needing replaced.
Goodbye Steve, about time too. Close the door on your way out.

Really?
So his continued move backwards have no influence on this then?
His inability to get his team (teams that season on season he has declared himself to be very happy with) performing to an acceptable standard?
Fans stay away because of results on the park. The very thing that the coach is ultimately responsible for.
However, in true af stylee, who then IS responsible for it?
