| seriously now folks: surely he will want to see Herbert play behind a good pack, as it could give him two options, Herbert as a short passing option that would suit Royston - or Kearney when hes back - timing runs into the line, and Briggs as a kicking option which would suit the wings whether Ah Van or Ainscough or Raynor and the forwards for some nice easy yardage, then he plays whichever according to opposition, weather, our injuries, etc etc etc.
some odd decisions have been necessary, but I have to agree about Sykes on the wing, but difficult to say what was planned before whatever happened to Platt as he was in the 19

| there wasnt anything up with platt , he just wasnt selected which is what makes the salford game all the more weird as we had a perfectly fit centre in platt and then he selected ah van in the centre and sykes on the wing..... i thinkplatts been doing well personally i dont know why he wasnt selected??

| I dont want to see Herbert play behind any pack. The bottom line he is a poor player. Look how much better we look with Briggs and Jeffries calling the shots.

| ... but they had Ollie and Jamie back in the pack and the difference was visible. When did Herbert last have a dominant pack and an actual stand off let alone an in form one partnered with him for more than one game? In those circumstances a lot of players would struggle. Its interesting to see if Halley keeps going at stand off, as that would mean four options in the half backs, which we need.
Just cannot understand why Platt would be named in the 19 then dropped. so Superbulls could still be right about Briggs when the team is announced if Platt is anything to go by.

Platty wasnt well the weekend of the game and had a bug apparently and was a bit under the weather, hence why he wasnt selected in the 17

| thanks squirty Pulsatron, that figures re Plattypuss and the re-arrangements. really messed up my team predictions, but good to have him back because we need to reduce that points deficit by giving Quins a thrashing as well as the two points.

I've been watching your post's for a while. I don't think you know what makes a team work. halves need a good forwards in front of them to be effective
Herbert has been the Bulls top producer of points this year and he has done it behind the worst pack in the comp. if you watch closely you will notice Potter has been moving him around in the defensive line. This is because opposing coaches are sending traffic at him to wear him out and make him less effective in attack. Clearly opposing coaches know he will create points otherwise they wouldn't target him in the defensive line.
Strange how the halves have been effective at the same time the forwards have been on top....
Briggs will let in as many points as he creates and Potter knows this

| well done on figuring out that teams top creaters are generally their hb's that touch the ball the most. Top marks for that.

| One of the key reasons the forwards have gained a foothold in the last couple of weeks (apart from the return of Langers and Elima) is that we've got the 5th tackle managed to kick the ball further than the halfway line. If the pack hasn't laid a platform for Herbert, his kicking game certainly didn't help them.
Apart from the Finch hand off I can't think of any major defensive blunders from Briggs in the last couple of weeks. If Herbert comes back and plays well in a team doing better then good luck to him but I'd stick with Briggs as he looks a kid on the up.

Brilliant analysis on your part.
which half has created most and behind which pack of forwards.....? the forwards that have turned up, or the ones that have let in 50 points
