This is all a right kick to the nads. I was just starting to think we had turned the corner as well.
All of the medium to long term decisions MG was making looked to be good, the academy & the ground being the obvious ones. Would take 3, 4 years or so for us to see the benefits but the foundations looked good.
And now, a short term cash flow problem, based on poor performances on the pitch is going to bring everything tumbling down again.
We need cash, soon. The only marginal silver lining is we have a better medium term future than last time

Well certainly if they have these checks in place then they have to take a certain amount of the blame for this situation arising again, if indeed it does.

This is no way is me trying to deflect the blame away from ourselves but IF the RFL are paying the wages as has been suggested then maybe a similar point has been made to them and they are taking some form of responsibility for their actions?

However, regardless of this, we simply cannot be allowed to get away with more handouts and favours from others. We have had enough chances to get it right.

I thought the scenario with Mandy Koukash was that as Marc Green was a creditor of OldCo he had first pop at the job?

In all seriousness, his heart is in the right place. But it's still quite funny to think of him tracking the plane and then stood at the gate holding a sign up, followed by driving along side Green's taxi asking for a comment. All in good humour this time though. Hell, we have to find something to get amused about at the moment before we all want to slit our wrists.

I though Richard Lamb had first go but was unable to produce £1m to satisfy the fat controller that he had money...... I think he had one weekend to do it....

Again I am an optimist but if MG was gonna snatch and run he'd not have launched the robust rebuttal last week. I get the feeling they think that the HMRC appeal (for a sum much smaller than 6 figures) will fail so as FA said earlier the priority is the TAX MAN.

In the interim I guess a few agents, being the scheming sorts, will play on the late wage payments to get a release from another championship season for their lads.

So I am hoping:

The charge is to stop the RFL doing something at Odsal without him being covered
The tax man is being pain in favour of the players with the RFL covering wages using the home gates of the shield as security (so better turn up)
WE miraculously win the appeal and pay the RFL with the returned monies
Garry Schofield catches galloping nobrot and particularly nasty scrofula.
