Could we please remind you of our forthcoming AGM.

As you know the club has been through a great deal over the last few weeks but the new owners have come in and we have a new start.

As promised they have reinstated the Academy and its staff. John Bastian the head of youth development has said many times that BullBuilder are a vital part of the academy support team and we have a massive part to play in its future.

This means membership, events and fundraising are going to be even more important than ever. We thank you for your backing and look forward to your continued support.

John will be at the AGM to address members about what's happened and what the future brings and answer questions.

Hope those BullBuilder members amongst you can make it.

16s beat Huddersfield 44-18 yesterday (probably a bad thing, as they'll likely now try and sign half of them) and 19s have just beaten London 28-22. Good weekend for the juniors.

I was there. Although I missed the incident that caused the injury as the game kicked off 15 minutes early and I came through the gate just as the injury happened.

It really didn't look good. The kid was down for a long long time before they eventually stretchered him off with an oxygen mask. I didn't see him move, but that's not to say he didn't.
Talking to someone who did see it, he said there were about 3 opposing players in the tackle and it looked like a shoulder charge, but he wasn't sure. The Bulls lad then just stayed down. Regardless of whether it was or wasn't a charge though, there's no blame to any Wakefield lad, it was an accident and nothing more.

About 10 minutes or so after he was stretchered off and the teams were led from the field at the same time, the ref came back out and declared the game abandoned. Bizarre that it's exactly 8 years to the day that Leon Walker died. I really REALLY hope for a better outcome from this and for some good news on recovery very soon.

Thankfully, he's ok.

16s got a bit of a kicking tonight at Stanningley. Lost 60-24. But to be fair, it was a very very good Leeds side so the score isn't that much to worry about. In fact they did well to score the 24. Some definite future Super League players in that Leeds 16s team.

Couple of stand out players in the Bradford side. The Stand Off (Race) looked handy.

Think Leeds have 5 players in the England squad for the France test series. They seem to have a decent crop. Did Luke Littlewood play? He's a scrum half and has looked impressive from what I've seen of the 16s.
