| Quote: tigertot "Love Apple now closed down. That is really sad after they put their lives into it for 13 years. Another nail in the coffin of Bradford centre. It's 2 years since I stopped work in Bradford, it's hard to imagine but it has deteriorated even further. Walking from Forster Sq to Titus Salt's I notices the OldBank, Goose, Varsity & most of those opposite are now shut. The Odeon has been allowed to rot. With the pool being constructed it is like Beirut.'"
Just when you think things have reached their lowest ebb they get worse.
Apart from crappy Angelo's I can't think of any non curry house place to eat on that side of town now. That said past 8pm there was never anyone in the Love Apple, obviously there aren't enough people wanting to spend an evening in the city centre, and you can see why.

| The state of the Odeon is an utter outrage, and all 100% deliberate. Once the Council leaned on teh owners to clean it up, and they did, but now they are complicit in leaving it to rot, until after years of a slow and ugly death it wihave to be demolished, or fall down of its own accord. Still at least you'll be able to see its refelction in the mirror pool.
The Council don't want anyone in the centre. Why they even vetoed football on the big screen, citing potential crowd trouble, and elfnsafety due to the nearby demolition site. Which is behind the screen so WTF would anyone want to clamber into the site for?
Bradford City Centre at night is now as eerie and unpleasant a place as ever I experienced in eastern Europe. Night? There's no fscker there during the day!

| Several years worth of weeds were removed from the Odeon in the last week. Anne Hawkesworth, the Tory whip that demanded all Tory councilors vote for demolition, and who has been instrumental in delaying anything other than demolition, now thinks it's a disgrace and that large sums of money should be thrown at it by Leeds Forward.
I'm past caring about the building now tbh. I just hope the campaign to save it goes on long enough to drag the names of everyone involved through the mud.

| Have the Bulls considered hire of the Shay stadium at Halifax as there is a combination of sitting and standing available.Fixtures could be arranged with the RLFC for games to be played on a Thursday evening with Sky in permanent attendance.this would enable the fans to enjoy their weekends .

Take the Bradford Bulls out of Bradford? Absolutely ridiculous idea.

| I heard on the radio yesterday that Mr Osborne has scrapped Yorkshire Forward. Aren't they pledging something like 4m to our scheme?

| I heard today they are still honouring any agreements, one of those to somewhere not a million miles from Odsal. Itdepends whether there is anything in writing from YF agreeing to contribute a set sum, which somehow I doubt.

I always understood that they would be paying "around £x"
no actual contribution was specified, so we will get nothing.
VP it is then!

Well Leeds Forward have cut a lump from the council's park in the city centre plan due to overall cuts in funding, so I guess we need to brace ourselves.
Which many of us have never stopped doing for the last forty odd years.

| We'll be at Odsal, unless we can come to some arrangement with the council.
OSV's pretty much dead in the water in the current climate, and a I suspect a council approved move for us to move to VP would kill it off for good.

The issues with Valley Parade are not the stadium. They are the area it's located in, which is not considered one of the safest in Bradford.
And when I say that, it's in the same way that sticking your hand in a doberman's mouth and jabbing it in the eye with your other hand, isn't considering one of the smartest things to do.
