The way I see it that Sheffield have got a very average player, we have a very average player off the wage bill and if Sheffield are proven to have acted improperly then we will no doubt be in for more £££££'s than we could ever have got for him.

Last Monday or Tuesday there were 2 posts on the T&A forum re Bulls players fighting in Bradford, one arrested and some players not turning up for training the day after. The posts were quickly removed, were they a wind up or has anybody heard anything? If true it could be related to the Koppy story.

Why should he pay the debts? He had nothing to do with them.

If Koppy was contractually able to do it there is no difference at all, apart from one meaningless game. You think honourable Bradford waited until the season was over before talking to Cas's best players?

The way the system is seems to play into the hands of players with longer term contracts. They secure their future by signing a long contract but if something like this happens they put themselves on the market to see who bites. If the club is saved then they win as their contract is passed over and they were happy with it when they signed it.

However, if they hit upon a club who offers them more money they just bide their time and refuse to be under contract to the new owners when offered. If no one offers them a better contract they just realise they're on a good thing where they are and stay. It's win win for them unless the club goes under.

I feel sorry for the out-of-contract players who have expected a new contract then a short sentence in a newspaper quoted from their coach hints the whole lot of out-of-contract players are on their way out. They're suddenly trying to find new clubs, new careers etc.

As for Kopczak he's hardly set the world on fire this season anyway. Good luck to him in his new club!

Well moving away from the Giants bashing... which i think it is too early to do due to the little information we have been given but thats just my opinion!

Hopefully Koppie getting his letter on the 3rd of Sept saying his contract was TUPEd across to the new company as of the 31st Aug means he is the only one to serve notice against it and make leave!

Hopefully the majority of the other contracted players have agreed and we can get some OOC signed up now and concentrate on rugby league next season instead!

Only that Gateshead were removed from SL all their playing staff and administrative staff were transfered to what was Hull Sharks and SL funded the new club to the tune of £1.25 million over 2 years to keep the Hull club alive.
