A tad exaggerated. IIRC Pryce became "emotional" out of frustration at the ref penalising him when Senior had quite clearly been the aggressor.

I think there is a distinction between players being innately cowardly, which I dont think any are, and occasionally resorting to acts which are basically out of character and could be described as cowardly. Part of the complexity of the human condition.

Either way it looks like clutching at straws. It seems that the game has been cleaned up to the point that there aren't any proper characters any more (in the dirty player mould anyway, there are plenty of prima donnas and half wits - see Gareth Hock). Even Newton and Morley have calmed down
