I really like him, makes a lot of space for Ethan Ryan.'"
Seemed to get dropped after having a defensive nightmare in the friendly at Dewsbury (and deservedly so on that display). Presumably has to do something to win his place back.

I'd agree with that, but he was awful at times in defence last year too, only he got away with the dreaded drop due to lack of options. This year he's not been so lucky.
Ross is no doubt a great prospect but so are a lot of others in the squad and I think if he gets 10-12 games this year he will have done really well (same as Kirk as well).
If he is being asked at looking at something to win back his place, he really needs to look at his overall positioning, which is awful. Way too many times he either over commits and leaves his wingman exposed, or he simply drops off the tackle too easily.
Think Butler-Fleming is an improvement on Oakes but i don't think Gibson or Smith have done anything immediately wrong to deserve being dropped for a month.
I'm guessing part of the agreement is we have to take and play TW players as and when TW require.

| I reckon it's more down to Brown retiring and taking up a full time job,we do lack cover on the wing.

| It gives us competition. If he can't force his way into the 1st team squad, then he can play in the reserves....

| Butler- Fleming played for us last year. He was very good going forward and is quite strong. However, he used to make some defensive brainfarts which is why we didn't keep him. I do however think that giving him a consistent run of games will get him up to speed as he came to us with a knee injury and never really got into his stride.

| Quote: HamsterChops "Bulls announced it. It's Butler-Fleming on a month loan, with week-to-week after that. So a loan rather than Dual Reg, from our Dual Reg partners. Makes sense.
Edit
seem to remember any overseas players couldn't be dual reg'd due to visa issues. Maybe it works differently if their on a official loan?. Would imagine this restriction only applies to Torontos overseas players and not their British contingent.

| Not a lot wrong with this signing in my opinion, quality player that needs game time/wants to play.
We’ve just lost one of the signings Kear brought in to add competition for places (Brown) so this puts us back in the same position or arguably better.
If he enjoys himself and we want him to stay we can extend the loan. If it doesn’t work out Toronto can have him back.
I see Dan King now has a picture and squad number on the website. Andrade announced on social media himself that he has signed and Burnett got a line in a T&A article about a different subject. Does anyone know why the club are not announcing these guys as signings/squad players?

Watched Oakes in the recent reserves game against Keighley, their side was fairly poor but we were looking to find him early and he had a fair bit of joy down his side. I'm looking forward to watching him next Thursday against Wigan reserves, coming up against a bit better quality in either Forsyth or Higginson to guage where hes at.
On the TW agreement, I cant see Kear being told what to do by them. I'm sure he has the final say and will only take from them if it is of benefit to the team and not TW. Doesn't strike me as a yes man

| I think it's wrong that smaller clubs are dictated to by bigger clubs about playing players and dropping there own in order to satisfy. Look at York tom Sheens dictates what happens there

I believe this is why Davies isn't playing.

| This deal makes even more sense now. Toronto have just signed Chase Stanley, and had Gary Wheeler back from injury last night.
You do have to wonder why they even signed JBF in the first place.

Cos they have too much money. Sorry to say this but players going there are chasing the money.

Of course they are. And I have a suspicion it will bite them on the backside eventually in the same way it is doing Leigh. Players more bothered about the pay day and don't give two sheets about the club.
