| Maybe they dont have money atm? Maybe they are saving for Xmas and may buy a season ticket the month after when they get paid? Maybe they are not garunteed to be at 9 games next season so it would be pointless buying a season ticket if they can only make 7 games?

Don't think anyone will wait till after early bird deadline. More likely they will leave it as late as possible within the early bird period before purchasing. A lot of people get paid at start of the month so expect a surge in sales one we get into November,

| Wonder if there's any milage in offering our former season ticket holders put off by the price rise an alternative to the season ticket. Maybe a £50 Friend of the Bulls scheme, similar to the virtual tickets we sold for the Leeds game this year. Might get a few who can't justify the new price but want to assuage their conscience.

| No need to start panicking, a lot of people will probably wait until the end of the month or November to purchase one. I know thats what i'm doing as i haven't got the money this month (like a lot of people)
However i know other people are just going to be paying on the gate as they know they won't be going to all the game this year.

| It would also make more sense to keep the Early Bird option open till the first week of January, that will encourage people to buy them for Xmas or those that get money or even have some left over to perhaps buy a Season Ticket at discount prices. The Club know the economy is flat especially around Bradford and an extended E B is to me a sensible way to go this year especially as its more important than shirt sales to have bums on seats etc (no jokes about bums are usually destitute please!) I'm sure that those that go to the next F F can raise the point!

| Well I'd have hoped we would've sold a few more by now but it was always going to be hard after a few years of ultra cheap deals.
I hope the club have some marketing plans in place to bump up sales. The hard core will stump up but the club need to attract brand new supporters too.

That's probably a reasonable way to go. I expect the club don't really expect to sell many (or even any?) at full price and the 'early bird' is really just a way to get the cash in early rather than a genuine discount and full price scenario. As has been pointed out up the thread, and by yourself, Bradford isn't exactly an area bursting with cash rich inhabitants so the longer they leave it, the more chance there is of getting people onto season tickets.

| If the 2029 is all adult sales then that is ok.
Our group is 2 adults, one concession, one junior & 2 under12's. How many of those 6 people will count towards the total - 2?, 3?, 4?

| I would, as I have on other threads, consider 3500-4000 full paying adults to be a good number, with another 1000 being concessions taking us to a total of about 5000!
This would lead to gates between 7000 and 11000 depending on the variables (day of week, sky coverage, weather, opposition)
given the trials and tribulations of the last 9 months that wouldnt be bad going!
Even given Wakefields uptake of early tickets, I would still expct our average gate across the season to be higher than theirs!

I think the issue people are raising is that if you get down to the Dec/Jan holiday period then most people will have even less disposable income with Christmas expenses, but it would not hurt to extend the early bird deal into December.
Getting more people though the gate, however they chose to pay has to be good for the club, but season ticket sales help to provide cash funds over the off season and this year we are still out in the market for more squad members.
I tend to look on buying a season ticket as way of making a commitment to the club even though I know work and holidays will keep me away from several matches each season

That's clearly true, but to be honest, whenever you choose to buy there will always be competition for your money, saving for Christmas or if it's later, paying off Christmas, it's a no-win situation in many ways. There certainly is a point that people do put money away for Christmas so it may be reasonable to use tickets (yeah, I know they're not cheap!) or shirts etc as Xmas gifts or cash towards xmas gifts etc.
To me, the biggest dilemma for the club is how long to spread the 'early bird' price before it starts to impact on getting the money in early, and of course bearing in mind that this season was a late start due to the general situation. I think though that most in your position (of missing more than a couple of games) are the ones who may choose to pay at the gate, bearing in mind we have the normal prices back. Trouble there though, as touched upon earlier, is that if we don't have a decent season then there is temptation for many not to bother.
