Seems to me that you could probably get close to eliminating that shortfall if every fan who bought a pledge price season ticket in 2012 bought a full-price one (less normal season ticket and early bird etc discounts) in 2013? The question is, how many actually would? '"
At least two of the people I go with wouldnt, no matter how good the squad. One works abroad the other has family commitments that mean they can only get to a few matches each season. They've been happy to buy a pledge price ticket but would lose out big time on a full priced ticket.
But reverting back to realistic prices would provide a firmer base to grow the club. At the moment virtually the only people that go are season ticket holders. Casual fans dont go because psychologically they are paying a huge premium on the "going rate".

| Just an idea - currently you either pay on the gate or get a season ticket or the one which is harder for the club - sit at home and watch it on telly.
I get a season ticket because I try to get to as many home games as normal but maybe you could attract more people by offering a "carnet" ticket which admits you to say 5 games - would work if it brings in more walk ins or people from the sofa - but the risk is people currently buying season tickets but don't actually go to more than half the games trade down

| There were actually some decent mix and match offers available this year, the ticket I got was 7 games for £70, there's always a tough call to mantain a balance between a fair price for season tickets and a fair price for matchday admission - one group or another are always likely to include elements who'll feel hard done by.

| Well, I won £8.60 on the Euromillion so if it's a £1 price I could buy the Bulls 8 times over, and still have change!
Yippee!! Where do I sign?

| I think, whatever happens over the next few days or week or so, that fans will not be quite [iso[/i hard to please for any new or re-formed club as many think.
We've lived for some time with the notion, led by a few on here, that [iwe're the mighty Bulls [/i and the Bulls [ishould[/i be, higher in the league, should be playing better and shouldn't be employing particular players because they're not good enough etc etc. The stupidity of that notion must surely have ended already, I sodding well hope so anyway, and I'd expect there to be some kind of 'honeymoon period' for any new organisation, which leads me to think Season tickets sales - even at a more realistic price - would sell a bit better than some are thinking.

I think a lot would depend on who the acquirer was, and the extent to which he engaged with the fans.
There are people out there who would never see a penny of my money. Ever. Equally, others with the right attitude regarding fans engagement (and there are such people out there) would doubtless receive very strong support from the fanbase, and in that respect I would bow to no-one. Especially since people have now seen what oblivion looks like - and are currently staring it in the face. And have now seen that all that bollox about administration being a relatively painless solution, with all these backers waiting in the wings if only the big bad Mr Hood would fekk off, has been shown for the bollox it always was.
If someone rides in to save the club, who the fans can see genuinely has the club's interests at heart, I would hope and expect that they would receive strong backing from grateful fans. They certainly would from me.

Oh, indeed Adey. We know nothing about the first bidder, ABC. We were told that the owner of Akbars was involved but, told nothing about anybody else. Since then we've only been told that Akbars now have nothing to do with ABC, so we now know less than we did two weeks ago since we know none of the members.
Incidentally, has anyone heard about our main shareholder, Mr Caisley? After sailing in, to give the impression he was going to become proactive and effectively turfing Hood out, he's disappeared below the radar again. I don't know what game he's playing or just what what he is trying to achieve - I assume if the club is wound up he loses everything? If so his 'victory' over PH is going to be a Pyrrhic one - and that's at best. Truth is, unless he is bound up with the bid (ie the C in ABC) I just can't understand what he's doing, or not doing but it would surely seem to in his best interests to be doing something.

Administration could be fairly painless, but not the shambolic way this one is being handled.

| It is shambolic, but the the elephant in the room seems to me to be that in fact there is no serious bidder. We don't like to say it, and don't want to believe it, but the whole thing now smacks of a colossal waste of time.
Under Hood, seems to me that at least we would probably have been in SL next year, as long as we kept up the HMRC deal payments. Whether they could have stemmed the losses and survived, well, it doesn't with hindsight look good, but at least we had some people hell-bent on surviving.
What do we have now? An administrator who reportedly wants the RFL to pay the players next month, "or else", and (presumably) expects the coaching staff do throw in an extra months freebie, or else knows they won't/can't, but assumes someone else will. Has anybody mentioned the Academy to him yet?

I think that 'they' is probably the more appropriate pronoun, if that makes you happy?
and if, indeed, there is an acquirer.....

Well at least Caisley, after his utterly disastrous intervention aided and abetted by Brutus Agarius, will have had the satisfaction of seeing his [ibête noir's[/i shares become as worthless as his own?
I suspect Guilfoyle realy DOES wish he had never set eyes on this assignment now.
Why can't I dispel this feeling that on the Monday he sacked the staff, he expected that by the end of the week a bid would be in, accepted, and job sorted? If so, wonder what happened to stymie that?

| Perhaps Guilfool when he was briefed by Caisley prior to going into Administration he was presented with a different picture and scenario? Hence Greenwoods and one othe unamed Investor not being able to get hold of him. But I think something has gone badly wrong and Guilfool is desperately trying to get a Plan B going and the fact that we have survived is down to the intervention of the RFL ,Voluntary Staff, Other Clubs and of course the Fans and also Guilfool desperately trying to protect whatever reputation he's got!
Caisley has been noticeably quiet since this all went pear shaped I suspect his Firm have come down hard on him to protect their own reputation!

Not sure how you 'come down hard' on a senior partner - or what effect it's likely to have!
