This is a MUST WIN for the Bulls if we are to have any chance of making the 8 this year. Especially after the walloping yesterday.
If we lose and with Warrington next up Potter should be under serious pressure to walk or if we can afford it to be sacked.

With Gale in the squad I would have fancied our chances in this one, regardless of the results against Catalans and Wigan.
But now we've lost our key playmaker, both Jeffries and Briggs aren't at the same level and certainly won't direct play around the park the way Luke does. As a result we'll struggle to create much at all I fear.
Our only hope is that our props can get the upper hand and we manage to get some quick ptbs for Disko and Heath to capitalise on.

If the forwards can set the same platform they did at Cas then maybe not, I think Sammutt is the ace in the pack (well, not exactly in the [ipack[/i) who can open up any team. Avoiding giving away penalties (and finding touch with the ones we get  ) keeping hold of the ball and playing solid rugby would probably be sufficient to get us home.
Quite a few 'ifs' in there. Guess we'll find out if there are too many on Saturday........  |

As an ex world class SH I appreciate the importance of a dominant pack. However there are times when the HBs need to take the game & dominate it & bring the pack on. Wakey's can do that. I'm not sure Sammut can, though he possesses other skills they don't.

Personally id be putting Kearney up at 6 Sammut at 7, moving in Kear to full back and bring in Ainscough/Pryce on the wing,

Nah tbh i dont think he makes a good half back, i personally would put langley into the props and have Addy at loose.

He's better than he was under Macca, but he's no Sinfield!
I don't think Addy's a halfback, but neither is Kearney. I'm more confident of Addy defending in line though and I don't want Potter chopping and changing defensive positions like he did with Shad/ Kearney. |
