I honestly can't understand how you can slag off Herbie without mentioning BJ. The last 2 games he's been as ineffective as ever. It's really no wonder Wakefield weren't too fussed about losing him. If he's starting Stand Off next season over Gale, Sammut or even Briggsy we're screwed.

TBH, I think it's less a reluctance to drop under performers but rather not having anyone of a standard to replace them. Last year we had a very thin squad and injuries have bitten hard. We seem to be struggling with injuries in key areas over recent seasons. |

Id much rather see southernwood get a couple of games under his belt this season. I'm pretty sure Bateman will be pretty ineffective at 6 barring the odd good pass. Keep him in the centre/2nd row for now. Southernwood's got a bit of a kicking game too which we'll desperately need, especially now Herberts out. |
