-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morning Stuart,
I feel compelled to contact you in utter dismay. Having read the Bulls website last night I was pleased to see that there was still coaches available for the trip to Wales. As a result I gave up my seat in a car to allow a young fan to go knowing I would be able to travel on the coach.
I rang the club first thing this morning after again checking the website and seeing that the coach was still availability but was filling up quickly. I was then quite disgusted to be told that in fact the message was wrong and in fact there were not places available. I was told that I could go on a waiting ist but then would not know any more until Thursday afternoon as those already on the list were still to come in to pay. Is this right? It makes no commercial sense whatsoever to wait and see if people turn up and pay and be potentially left high and dry if people can no longer be bothered. I was on the phone ready to pay and therefore ensure the club have the money there and then but you as a club are prepared to risk losing vital revenue by adopting a system that quite frankly defies economic sense.
Your employees answer to everything seemed to be "that's fine" to every reasonble point I conveyed but Stuart, it is not fine. If I tell my friends youngster that he can no longer go as I want the seat in the car will that be fine? If I now have to wait until Thursday afternoon before I hear whather I get a place on the coach, is that fine? If I now have to pay 86.00 for a train and then pay for a hotel because of your misleading website, is that fine? OF COURSE IT IS NOT.
Your employee was at best polite but clueless and at worst sarcastic. I appreciate she does not make the decisions as to how the club operates but she should be at least in the knowledge of the facts before putting on a glib sycophantic manner and not appearing to have any understanding of the fans needs.
This is not just a rant of a disapointed fan but reflective of my genuine concern about the malaise at the Club. I would be taking every penny off those fans who are forthcoming, not working on a conditional basis whereby you have to potentially run a coach at a loss, as those who said they will pay don't bother. You, as a club, then have a mad scramble to try and cut your losses. The Bulls never used to employ this mechanism, it was always pay before Thursday and you would get on the coach.
As time is of the essence please provide me with a response by return.
1. Is this the correct representation of how the club is now organising away coaches?
2. How many people have actaully paid for the coach?
3. If I were to come and pay today, will I get a place on the coach?
Please give this your immediate attention.
Your faithfully'"
As WiganBull has already said have you had a reply or have you just sent it and posted it on here without waiting for a response?
Just out of interest.

And addressing someone 'Morning Stuart' is hardly correct letter writing etiquette either

Yours correctly,

When I did my secretarial stuff one way we were taught to remember it was that Sir never went with Sincerely.
It stuck with me.

To which my director would look down his nose &, in his best patronising voice, say "those former polytechnics!" Which I realise they are not.
It's got nothing to do with cool old boy, it's status, status. God I hated this snobbery before I moved here.

| I received a phone call from Stuart Duffy yesterday morning. I must give great credit to him as he held his hands up and accepted that there had been a mistake in updating the bulls website.
He accorded me a great amount of his time to explain the position and was genuinely sympathetic to the difficulties that have arisen.
Whilst I have been unable to secure a place on the coach and will now have to travel independently and stay over I still believe the Bulls are worth it. Not an ideal conclusion but Stuart clearly demonstratedd that he does care about the fans and the clubs image.
Unfortunately I cannot say the say about some of the so called Rugby League fans on here who simply use this forum to vent unsubstantiated views or moronic comments that fail to advance any debate.

Maybe we should all speak to Stuart and then we'd all forget the issues and be as behind the club as this guy.

Eh! Where did that come from?
Seems like a nice long journey to Wales is needed to help calm you down. If you wear something which will easily identify you I will donate some of my medication if you think it will help.
