Attended both games actually.
So you state there was not circa 4,000 Bulls supporters there - OK no proof, but what does the information say:-
1. Many more extra people attended at Galpharm than at Odsal
2. That the Bulls attract more walk in extra Hudds or neutral supporters than Hudds at Bulls.
It is very likely a high proportion of the extra over fans are away supporters - agree?
Go back to the comment I was challenging - that Hudds took more supporters to Odsal than we did to Galpharm in last couple of years - do you still support that? If yes - don't want you on a jury if I'm the accused, based on convicting on a 'beyond reasonable doubt' basis

I could not care less about your squabble. Your 'formula' is nonsensical. If it leads to the conclusion that there were 4K+ bulls fans in attendance it is laughable. There were around 1200-1500 bulls fans at last 2 games at the galpharm. The ticket income per supporter will be nearer to £10 than £20. HTH

Anecdotal evidence v data based evidence - so there were only 6 Huddersfield supporters at Odsal - I know I was at both games! And my assesment on spend wasn't based on ticket but based on total - extra bar, food etc. etc.
No squabble pal, but just trying to highlight that the basic premise (more Hudds supporters at odsal than Bulls at Galpharm can't be supported)

Hi mate
not sure the figures can be so easily compared as they are not like for like.
For example in 2011 you are comparing a game on a Sunday afternoon (15:00) in March played at Galpharm with a game on a Saturday night (19:15) in July played in Halifax and on Sky.

Agree - but differences in both - we played Dragons in 2011 on Saturday on Sky and in 2010 in August on a Sunday - hence accept my basis is not fool proof - but does provide data to indicate an estimate which is better than saying mine is bigger than yours

| ??? Really ????? By using figures that you freely admit are incorrect attendances??? Let's hope you don't need beyond reasonable doubt- using this kind of evidence would at best get you laughed out of court.

Court?????? Is that where this yah-boo-sucks is heading, then?
So now posters can only post opinions they can prove beyond reasonable doubt?
Listen, we all know comparatively few Giants fans bother to come to Odsal. You know it, I know it. Twas always thus, (though tbf a few more than usual cam to the last match) so the rest of the discussion is pointless, isn't it?

| Anteater- if you are going to comment on a thread then perhaps it would be a good idea to read previous comments so when references are made to something a previous poster says you don't show your ignorance.
Also the number of giants fans attending odsal has not been disputed- only the illogic a particular poster has used to estimate bulls attendances.

Your squabble over visiting supporter numbers means nothing to me.
Your suggestion that there were 4K Bulls fans at recent games is absurd. The Pink Link stand for visiting supporters has been around 1/3 full for Bulls games in 2010/11 so a figure below 1300/1400 would be far more likely + a few going side on.
You are now 'suggesting' that the average spend of a supporter, excluding ticket, inside a ground is £10. Hilarious stuff.

| Ridiculous as that figure is cripes - perhaps more important is it makes no difference whether they spend £10, £100 or £1M the money goes to the stadium company-not the giants!

That's a bit rich mate, given your comments on a recent post of mine. Do as I say, not do as I do, I take it?

In legal terms, for the avoidance of doubt I did not state figures were incorrect, they are in the public domain and I assume the tax man uses that data to estimate if tax take is correct (and before any one says anything - I know we owe the tax man ). What I said is that in that year (2011) the method of measure was consistent for the full year but for reasons unknown to me, we clearly changed the basis of reporting attendances, which I guess was to do with the pledge and cheap ticket!
You may lol - but DATA says the crowd at a Bulls match at the Galpharm is about 4k higher than games with little away support for 2 succesive years and in the same period games at Odsal with the Giants saw a much smaller increase. Reasons - more away support for the Bulls certainly, and the fact the Bulls are a much more attractive proposition for Giants supporters who pick and choose matches!

Ok good point - go with the £10 estimate per head still means that Bulls games at the Galpharm resulted in more marginal revenue for you than games at Odsal did for us given the crowd differential was higher as fans from Bulls, disaffected Giants, Fax, Rams, Bulldogs,, Hornets, Roughyeds and fans from all clubs came from a radius of 20 miles to watch the Bulls v Giants local derby

For the avoidance of doubt i do not care about the figures you arrive at when juggling with attendances from selected games.
The Bulls brought around 1300 - 1500 to games at the Giants in 2010/11 and the suggested spent of £20 per head is laughable.
