| I got an email too and rang to pay for mine
Sounded like the office was busy. Was kept on hold for ages before someone answered. They also said that the Monster Truck thing was making things even busier for them.

| I haven't had anything through the post or e-mail reminding me to pay, so I assume they've got mine through fine.
I still have the reference number I got from the e-mail confirmation anyway, and the money's gone out of my account, so one way or another, I'm getting my season ticket

Yes, I received an email too, but it did mention;
Quote: Bully_Boxer "The data collated for this message was correct as at 5pm Wed 27/10
If you have purchased your ticket since then WE THANK YOU. You need doing nothing and please do not be offended by this communication.'"

Yes I read that, but I paid for my ticket a few weeks after they first announced the pledge deal and before they confirmed the £60 price. I'm sure it'll be fine though, they won't want me going in waving my bank statements at them in anger!!

| 10300 SEASON TICKETS SOLD!!!!!This is fantastic news for the Club and its supporters. Congratulations to the Board on their initiative, and the backroom staff on all their hard work. Still 3 months to go so presume more will purchase tickets, could /should be looking at regular attendances over 12000. COYB.

| Interesting comment from hood in todays potter article.
Quote: "Chairman Peter Hood was quick to thank fans for making the Pledge 10,000 scheme a success, while confirming the club would still be contacting those who had pledged but failed to follow through on their promise'"
so maybe some of the mickey take pledgers are in for a surprise . Wonder if they'll chase pledges up at the £60 mark or want the new higher price. Thats the other thing he confirms, that the pledge deadline has not been extended and the price has now risen to £120 (although I suspect anyone who contacts club who had a pledge and a genuine reason for not paying yet may get lucky).

| While 10,300 cheap tickets sold is fantastic news i can't see many fans buying tickets now they have increased in price again. I visited the club myself yesterday hoping the dead-line had been extended but was told no, so they lost one there (a friend, i've got mine by the way)

that said even at the higher price its still a pretty significant saving over the walk up price so we may still see a few more sales, particularly if we get a decent signing or two.

| Why can't the club extend the offer for another week or 2? it makes sense to me if it means another few hundred tickets sold...

suppose thats the point of having a deadline. They've never extended early bird deadline for season tickets either. If they extend it now then they will have problem next year of people waiting till after deadline and assuming they will do an extension which affects clubs cashflow. Theres still enough of a saving that anyone who's missed out would still save significantly over walking up on the day so whilst there will probably be some grumbling I'd still expect to sell a fair few more.

Because they had a deadline that was pretty well publicised. If anyone "forgot" or couldn't be @rsed going up there before that deadline, then there's only one person to blame and it isn't anyone at the club.
I'd say anyone who pledged and hasn't yet paid should be allowed to still have the £60, as they'd previously said they would. But anyone who didn't pledge and didn't buy one before the deadline has missed their chance. How long do the club go on for? Keep extending it by a few weeks every time the deadline passes and make the deadline look a completely pointless exercise?
You could argue that it's either £60 or nothing, but that same argument goes if someone turns up at the ticket office and asks for a season ticket for £30. They'd be told no, they cost £120. So they leave. By your logic, it's £30 or nothing, so £30 is better.

| 10300 tickets doesn't equate to a minimum 10300 for ever game as a lot of those tickets will be family tickets so that's even more people. Then add on the visiting fans and Odsal will be packed out

You would hope so, but a £60 ticket will also enable people to pick and choose the games they attend and not have "lost" money by not going. I already know due to family commitments there is no chance of me making every home game, which is why I didn't buy a season ticket last year, but I can buy one this year, make the games i can, but not lose out if I miss a few.
