| Quote: Scarey71 "It's interesting that those really in the know, SMTMUK and Matty Ryan etc seem to be pointing the finger at the RFL.
The tweet about Big Nige being the string puller, the RFL being corrupt B4st4rds and 'Land Fill' has gone but enough hints to say this has been a three year operation by the Pie-man.
So what it looks like to me is that just as we leave the tip, the Richard Dunn site is about to be cleared leaving a really profitable parcel of land for someone inc CBMDC, Chalmers says goodbye, not by going into Administration as you would expect but by some-one *buying* the club (what is there to buy?), thus giving Chalmers his money back and by lucky hapt a cock up with pensions gives everyone the diversion to look away whilst Nige pats AC on the back for a job well done and him and a couple of buddies, acting as a front, settle in to a heroes welcome.
X-files has got phuq all on us!!! Buying the Bulls! They really think we are that stupid? 'I'll buy you debt if that's ok?!?!?'
Shull Bit!'"
Interesting theorem.

Think you are on the wrong thread. This should be on the jokes thread.

| [i"Some are saying that the new shareholder (or one of them) is ex Wakey's Chris Brereton. If you look him up on Companies House, Chris is not a man of substance. He conveniently appears to look like an AC#2. Is that good for the club? Who else (if anybody) is part of the so called new consortium, and most importantly what cash will they put down on the table. Did the new consortium even do any thorough due diligence. After all it is rumoured that they may have to stump up >£500K for the club's present debts. As said earlier might the new consortium be no more than a sticking plaster solution for the club's apparent 'puppet master'. [/i
CLARIFICATION re THE ABOVE- it now appears from a reliable source (not Carto) that Chris B did a decent job at Wakey and helped reduce the club's debts post his Board appointment in 2013. He never saw eye to eye with Carto, but that's no sin - folk do clash. CB and MC parted ways last November.Does this means that CB is the man for the Bulls and/or the apparent puppet master? Maybe; maybe not. Regardless, seems like the consortium deal may have hit the buffers in the RFL. Is CB a fit and proper person? Are the RFL a good tenant of Odsal? Many questions; answers likely to follow.

| So we have a new team coming in with little money but with plans to make us a sustainable club. We've been crying out for someone like that since we last had a new team coming in with little money but with plans to make us a sustainable club.
Still at least it will be a refreshing change from the previous 2 or 3 times before that when a new team came in with little money but with plans to make us a sustainable club.
By the way I'm totalling calling myself "we" from now on.

At east one of the men leading the consortium has a history of making basket case clubs sustainable.
Anyway I'm just waiting for the RFL to block the takeover and be in admin just in time for Christmas

I follow Matty on Twitter too and he seems to be very much in the camp of criticising the club's outgoing management with most comments I've seen, although yes there are some aimed at the RFL too. He certainly isn't pointing the finger at just them though.

The best of it, despite all that's being said, is that we are, apparently, changing hands by means of a sale. Someone is paying actual coin to take over the club instead of the usual admin, bankruptcy route we've become inured to. Everyone can do as they wish, and there are more opinions than there are grains of sand on Scarborough beach, but I'm taking it as a win.
And keeping my fingers crossed...

I doubt they're paying much in the way of 'coin' considering the size your current debts are likely to be.

You clearly have the advantage over me, I'm afraid I haven't seen the accounts.

| Matt Shaw tweeting that bulls confirmed to players that they will receive pension payments by 8th November. Let's all hope this is the case. Its probably one of biggest scandals the club has had in all honesty. 3 players have terminated their contracts too and who can blame them.

I think 3 players have given notice they intend to void their contract, but the Rfl want to give the new consortium a chance to fix it before they agree.

| Well Total RL are reporting there's news about Odsal due tomorrow. Probably that Toronto will be playing games there.
Which means the RFL/Toronto are going to have to put some money into doing up the ground to get it up to safety standards
