| Quote Bullseye="Bullseye"I suspect some are safer than others though. If the RFL have doubts about the bidders then they'll be more reluctant to guarantee SL status.'"
Undoubtedly.
I'm amazed at how people are willing to take up the side of a mystery consortium who seem to have no intention of revealing themselves, never mind what their plans are. Going on the evidence of previous administrations I have followed I have no doubt that the RFL will have their hands tied in what they can say in public due to confidentiality clauses in the bid. If, for example, their plan to pay for the lease involves the RFL witholding portions of the SKY TV money for the next couple of years and taking that as repayment how will they finance a half-decent squad? I'm not saying that's the plan, but it isn't beyond the bounds of possibility.
At the end of the day we have no idea what the mystery consortium have asked for, or have planned - they can leak little things out through certain people which pins the blame on the RFL as it seems people are happy to unquestionably go along with it.

Correct, but the alternatives don't look too rosy do they?
If someone hands me a parachute as I'm plummeting to the earth I'm not going to refuse it because I don't know how he got hold of it or what the stiching is made from.

| The way we are being bullied into fulfilling our fixtures i would be happy for the players to simply not perform for the rest of the games ensuring lopsided scorelines and thereby screwing the league table.
If the coaching staff leave maybe the RFL could loan us McBanana, that should ensure a string of inept, effortless performances.

| Quote Mirfieldbull="Mirfieldbull"Don't watch Backchat anymore for that very reason! So if the offer was circulated to all the clubs, very disappointed in the RFL journalist community that they can't find out what was the conditions which caused a rejection - going to 13 clubs plus the RFL plus ABC plus the administrator means a leak would be very difficult to identify - same lazy journalism as Backchat.
Agree on diffculties on reaching play offs, I think we need to win 4 out of 5 given the other fixtures and how HKR and Hudds play teams around us (including each other!)'"
You missed a treat. Supposedly people who understand the issues but coming up with incoherent arguments.
The one thing that they agreed on was that the overriding concern is for rugby to continue at Odsal even if that means the bulls going bust.
We should be liquidated and then sell our players.
We should be relegated to the bottom tier where games against Halifax and fev will draw huge crowds.
We just need a figurehead to lead a supporters trust and it will be a doddle
I know that Stubbs' role is to stimulate argument but his flippancy was outrageous.

While Backchat does indeed resemble an amateurish circus, full of pretentious views.
I find you're criticism of Rugby League journalists to be harsh and unfair Mirfieldbull.
People like Ross Heppenstall, Gary Carter, Ian Laybourne - even myself and others, have worked tirelessly since the news first broke on the 27th March.
Unfortunately acquiring information has been excruciatingly difficult to obtain and substantiate, with so many key contacts and players no longer on the scene.
One of the reasons given on Monday evening for the rejection of the Second ABC consortium bid, was that they wanted to buy the Odsal lease from the governing body - in installments made over a number of years - crucially interest free.

| Having previously expressed my view of sympathy for all your fans and players and redundant staff who in my view desrve a medal for carrying on helping out I will now give my reasons as outsider my thoughts on why folk and other clubs are turning against the club.
Clearly based on what the rfl stance on conditional offers being unacceptable, in particular regarding the licence guarantee whether it be just this season or beyond I believe the rfl are correct on this.
It would appear to me the ABC crew and others clearly are not getting the message on this issue. If they genuinely have the long term intersts of the club as a whole they should make it clear that they are not asking for licence guarantee this way it will put the rfl under pressure to say what the obstacle is.
Regarding the secret loans and lease etc surely any organisation councils or otherwise have to be seen at least covering all eventualities bearing in mind the lack of proper contracts regarding deliverance on westfield project, perhaps they got fingers burnt and are ensuring they do not this time, just a thought.
Personally I am fed up as outsider of this dragging on so god knows how it must be for those with stake in club emotionally. It is this that I feel is alienating folk along with fact the Bulls are no different to any other rugby league club in that they should not receive preferential treatment as is the perception.
No club is or should be bigger than the game and the rfl and clubs should be brave enough to make the tough call and remove licence now and deal with expunging results etc its far better integrity of game is maintained rather than this messing about, scottish football took a decision which the rfl should do also if conditions to offers are still being made.
As for statements like Super League needs the bulls or indeed other individual clubs is a myth and wrong, past glories are exactly that the past.
Other clubs must and should be given chance to shine when clubs fail to meet standards in place no matter how it happens.
Surely its time for rfl to sort this now and inquests into who knew what and what happened can then start in earnest.
As stated earlier the fans etc have my sympathy but its time to end this now.

| The problem with the leak that ABC have offered £1.5m for the lease is that it has supposedly come from a source within the ABC consortium. They are hiding behind a name, why don't they reveal themselves if they really have the welfare of the Bulls as their main priority. Also we get one snippet that they offered more than the RFL paid for the lease, is this cash up front or drip fed. Are they going to continue as Bradford Bulls and try to settle with creditors so they keep their existing franchise, or do they only want the club debt free and set up as a newco which then means they don't have a franchise for SL.
If it is the latter, that may be why the RFL wont give guarantees about SL licence

Fully agree the onus is on the RFL to enter a negotiation period with the parties concerned and reach an agreement or end support by affirming no conditional offers and liquidate now. The stance of the RFL to keep support going through advance payments etc., but not entering into meaningful negotiations to facilitate a sale sends a very mixed, confused signl in my book!="Surely its time for rfl to sort this now and inquests into who knew what and what happened can then start in earnest.

Apologies if my comments offended, but whereas I can understand journalists associated with the Bulls struggling to get information, it is surprising given the seeming polarisation of the SL clubs views that leaks haven't occurred from other places where journalists have strong relationships.

Not happy at any time to see poor performances due to lack of effort but I know what you mean.
Perhaps this is why the RFL are taking the stance they're taking, they haven't forgiven us for unloading McBanana onto them

Apologies accepted mate.
Those supporters that listen to my broadcasts at the games will know - that I've diligently covered every angle of this sorry charade via interviews from Nigel Wood, Blake Solly, Simon Foster, members of the RL press and the closest person to all of this - Ross (who has provided some fantastic analysis).
While it is true that the Super League clubs have broken into groups with differing opinions, on what should or shouldn't happen to the Bradford Bulls Super League license.
It's my belief that their chosen stance should be confidential and not released into the public domain.
