| Id like to think that we could see a chairmanship in the style of Newcastle United. Everyone hates the owner, and he put the club up for sale, Yet he continued to back the club and look at them now, even though he makes very unpopular decisions, its always percieved to be in the best interst of the club ie. Sports direct arena?!

Send for Tulkas, he'll sort the bu99ers out.

I loathed him.
Still do.
I never wanted to be him.
The reports I heard back from meetings during the SL formation debacle were very enlightening.

| Quote: Asim "The likes of Agar, Tasker and Noble are the types of people I'd want helping move the club forward from where we are at the moment.
Caisley? Not so much, but if he is the man bringing them together then so be it, we also have to remember that prior to the mess that the Ietsyn Harris case turned out to be and the legacy of the way the Odsal settlement was spent the club had gone places under his leadership.
I've seen a few comments about losing goodwill because Caisley rubbed people up the wrong way and offended people, that's undoubtedly ture, but only because he was in charge of a club doing well. Hood has made similarly ridiculous comments to the press (suing the RFL, demanding two points because of a refereeing error) but is just thought of as a laughing stock by the rest of the game for it, if the Bulls had achieved anything on the pitch under his watch he'd be on the way to the same kind of unpopularity Caisley has.'"

I used to talk to a former chairman of Widnes. He loathed and despised Mr Caisley for what happened to Widnes. He made it clear that it was pretty well open warfare with Caisley And Lindsay after that.

But it only 'went places' because money was being spent that wasn't there. I could travel the world on my credit card but would eventually face the consequences.
What's the point in 'going places' if your ultimate destination is bankruptcy and chaos.
Caisley rubbed people up the wrong way and offended them because he was arrogant and offensive. Nothing more, nothing less.
Just because he throws a few names into a conversation with the T&A does not make him a legitimate option for leadership of the club.

Indeed, don't get me wrong, he isn't a person I particularly like or have any fondness for.
I am not saying that we simply forget the errors he made at, and moving towards, the end of his time but, for the most part he led a progressive, successful regime. I am not denying or forgetting that if he hadn't squandered the Odsal settlement windfall or signed Harris to spite Hetherington we'd probably in great financial health now.

If these "few names" have agreed to work with him it very much does make him a legitimate option when these people have knowledge, experience and expertise that is sadly lacking and very necessary in the club's current predicament.

| He certainly rubbed the fans up the wrong way on frequent occasions. Not least for keep berating them for not turning out in bigger numbers. He specifically blamed the fans in the (I think it was ) 2004 annual report, with a quite damning attack. When I get home I can post it up on here.
He also attacked fans for watching the games on Sky rather than coming to the ground (I helped Bullseye write the BISA press release in response to that one so I remember it well).
Examples.

| I hope they pointed out - strongly - the irony of this public money being spent to sponsor the dark side instead.

So do I, but it's the day before a bank holiday which itself is the day before judgement day.

I do get what you're saying and similarly have a desire to see such people as Tasker or Noble given the chance to offer their consultancy services. I think the club is in need of some impartial advice from people in the know.
Further from announcing these names in the press though, I don't see any kind of plan from Caisley. I'd like to have details of who will be coming on board, what roles they will be performing and what the end game is rather than vague talk of a review.
One thing I think we all agree on is the need for review and change. We certainly can't go on as we were.

| Caisley the saviour eh? Not so sure about that, the man is a walking agenda. I'd have to wonder whether this would more about delivering the fatal blow to Hood as opposed to some great desire to save Bradford Bulls, lets be honest they aren't exactly the best of friends. Caisley is an unpopular man amongst many others clubs boardrooms as well and not exactly well liked these days in the corridors of power at Redhall. The timing of this release is very cynical and from my experience sums up the way the mans operates. I wouldn't trust him if he told me today was Thursday, but all this is just my opinion. I'm sure somebody must like him. You will survive but good luck for the future, you're going to need it.

As everyone is now going to start going on about Judgment day, can we please make sure it is JUDGMENT day and not judgEment day. JUDGMENT is correct and judgEment is just wrong and ugly. It's one of those words that has only elbowed its way into common currency through sheer repetition of the mistake. People think "Judge", and haven't the wit or edukashun to lose the extra e before a consonant.
And I don't give a shiit how many dictionaries disagree, I'm 100% right so fsck them all!
