Harsh considering what he's had to work with. When we've had something resembling a pack of forwards we've looked pretty good.
You could put Sir Peter Fox in charge and we'd still be struggling

| What ever happened to the rumour that Graham Lowe was in the Southeren Hemisphere getting players for us?
Was he actually just on holiday - and they put a spin on it to fool us fans?
Or are they still holding him as hostage while Toovey is up here?
Did he actually get any players?
Other than Phoenix - who never actually materialised (never mind rose from the ashes) - what did Mr Lowe do down there?

Hopefully he is recruiting some dense boned pack members and preparing their visas in the back ground.

I'm still clinging to the distant hope that he did exactly that, which is why we left numbers 10, 12 & 13 free in the squad, but that they learned their lesson from Phoenix and aren't going to announce them until they actually have Visas.
But I do feel like I may be clutching at straws a touch there.

| To be honest I would say unless they have recruited 3 or 4 players as well as chissy and Phoenix to come in the next two weeks we are finished as far as the championship goes, its as simple as that really.
I hate been all doom and gloom but any new squad members have to get over here, learn the patterns we play to and gel with the rest of the squad.
Given there has been zero progress to date by the new guys owning the club, I'm holding out for a miracle of a restructure and a place in the new SL2.

The only thing that worries me about them 3 numbers are that 10 could have been left as they assumed Joseph might sign, and 12 I worry was earmarked for Foster who seemed to hang around long enough to get a decent offer but I'm ultimately guessing didnt get an offer he could accept. After seeing his Cas debut and how good he was defensively we surely could have done with him in the centre where Rohan signed him for

TBH I'm 99% sure Lowe has next to nothing to do with running the club. His health problems mean he's based down under and I doubt he's got anyone "lined up". He's been out of the game for too long. When he was last involved in RL administration he promised big things at NZ Warriors but failed to deliver.

Back in Oct/Nov, Joseph was going to be 13 I thought, and he was also a decent back-up hooker as well.

This may have legs, as i seem to remember Reveready (who seems to have some sort of connection to the club) said we had signed to NZ props from French RU.
Not sure if we are ever going to see this bloody visa though!

I'm not meaning to 'bag him', Bullseye. I mean, I fully appreciate the problems he's had (or would have had if he'd got his visa......), and my thoughts are actually nothing to do with this season. When the 'coalition of chaos' currently running the club turns into a 'Strong and Stable' leadership group, he may well turn out to be the super duper coach every seems to believe that he is, and indeed, let's hope so.
What I find hard to understand is, how we (the 'Royal' we, that is) whilst looking through his record, got the idea that he's somehow a great, top notch, proven coach, when to my mind I just can't see where that notion comes from.
