| Quote: bowlingboy "Yeah that would be great for the club going forward if they made the deal even harder by been greedy.
Maybe then we could afford less playing staff and struggle even more as the season goes on top idea that man.
No one is saying be greedy, the RFL have been negligent for too long, why should the players and staff pay the price...the new owners and RFL will look to divide and conquer!

That's if they stay together as a group. I would expect their agents to be looking at deals elsewhere if the offer made by the new owner isn't good enough.

| Quote: bowlingboy "I think we are in for another tedious wait today until Chalmers and Lowe are crowned at Odsal..
The Leo group involved would make the ground development a lot more likely and would be a dream come true in that respect.
Money and past business dealings in NZ aside, These two guys are actually successful Rugby League men that will def know what they are doing when it comes to creating a professional structure and improving the playing department no end.
According to Lance and others the setup under Ferres, Lowes and green was laughable and poorly run, I think these guys should be the polar opposite.
If there is investment cash wise behind these two I think we have the best deal, I may turn out to be way off the mark.
What has annoyed me a little not on here but on facebook and twitter is people sat at home in their average mundane day to day life dragging up business pasts of people aiming to take the club forward and posting it all over social media.
These guys have nothing to gain in my view by starting a "new" Bradford club other than wanting to build a successful club.
Again I may be proved wrong on all fronts, give them a chance and see where we end up.
Publicly slating them on social media is all kinds of wrong especially when you don't know what deal is on the table, what is to be invested in and what the future holds.'"
Unfortunately pal thats social media for you! Totally agree with everything here

To be brutally honest there is a couple in their ranks I wouldn't offer a deal to, that were signed during the Bradford Bulls we will buy every available player in the RL world and not play them period.

Apparently Andy Clarke is a very good agent

Normally I would agree, but beggars can't be choosers and the likes of Campbell, Mendeika etc, may be the best that is available.

| At what point do the financial guarantees that the RFL have asked for actually kick in? If the new "owners" meet with the players (what's left of them) and decide that theyre not going to be able to agree terms with them, that they're not going to be able to start the season with a playing squad that's within their budget, can they just walk away from the "deal"?

Is potentially the second best hooker available after Joe Lumb. Especially now that Stuart Howarth has signed up with Workington.

I don't know about Josh, but I'm sure I read that his brother John had signed for some French side? Again though, may have dreamed it.

He did go back to sign for same team as his brother. To be fair (all obviously dependent on the new owners and plans) if we were in the market for a 9 john wouldnt be a bad shout, very lively and would have thought would be relatively cheap. I'd also look at Scott Moore surely he will be on peanuts as he might struggle to get a club

The problem with Scott Moore being that there's every chance he'll be playing RL at her Majesty's pleasure in the near future.

| Chalmers and Lowe addressed the players and staff last night and confirmed their intentions to go part time with no investment and cutbacks forthcoming. Stu Duffy has sent out texts this morning saying he's now in charge with Gary Tasker and will be meeting players individually to decide whether the new club will keep them or what they're worth. No guarantee they will keep Rohan. One of the staff asked if they would get paid this month but the reply game no because of the current HMRC dispute. HMRC are demanding a large security deposit against future tax liabilities, as is their right (powers given to them in 2015) when a person in control has a track record of defaulting on tax payments and has had several business failures such as both Andrew Chalmers and Graham Lowe.
Chalmers has asked the RFL to lend him the £400,000 against the personal guarantee of his property in New Zealand. One final point is Chalmers and Lowe will be based in New Zealand with a UK based management team of Gary Tasker and Stuart Duffy.
Nothing can move forward until the RFL lend the new club money to pay HMRC the six months up front.

| I heard the rumour about part time at the weekend. If that is true, I can't see that ever changing. I think once a team goes part time, it's very difficult to then get the money and the players required to jump back to full time (as Sheffield recently found out).
If true (and I say if because I have no concrete evidence to say it is), it's just another part of the downward slide I'm afraid, even if part time is the only way that the club will survive.
