| Diskin to retain captaincy as I told you all months ago... well, I said it wasn't Heath (that's how it works round here isn't it?!)
As for the locked thread, did roof and eddie get confused by the term "sledging"?
Fnar, fnar, fnar.

Well it certainly went downhill pretty quickly, even allowing for the low starting point.............anyone know where I left my coat?

Saints paid £50k for Kyle Amor, so on that basic, Luke Gale is probably worth no more than £25k in transfer fee. It does however depend on what his salary is to work out what the value to the Bulls is in letting him go.

I know, more like four.
For heavens sake if you can't see what a top class act Amor is you really are as daft as you appear. If it were not for the appearance of the Burgess brothers I'd tip him for England by the end of next season.

Not being bias here as a Wakefield Trinity fan (even though he has moved over the Pennines) but he is a top quality prop-forward.
His footwork is quality and if supported he can offload the ball too. He does all the little things correctly and rarely makes a handling error. You will see how good he is next season when he is playing with a quality team. If it was up to me this year he would of been playing for England over Mossop who IMO was ineffective.

| Comparing apples and oranges really. Hard to compare a prop to a halfback. That being said, as far as their quality in their chosen position, I would say Amor is easily the better player. I wouldn't want to see him at 7 any more than I'd want to see Gale at prop though.

| As we have yet to announce the signing of Mexico, it got me wondering.
Press in Aus seem confident the deal is done, so why haven't the Bulls announced anything?
I wouldn't be surprised if this news was to counter the blow of losing a player, for example, I'm hearing rumours that Carvell will soon depart. Maybe this signing will attempt to soften that blow.
If Carvell does go, and we don't re-loan Evans, it's going to be an even tougher year this year for the forwards.

If the deal is done, that'll be exactly it. Imagine the uproar if they kept talking about redundancies and that players will have to leave, then come out and say "we've signed another player!". Any signings now will fall into that "If someone leaves, we'll replace them with another player on a lower wage" category, which presumably Mexico is, if it's true.

Plenty of Leeds fans are gutted at losing Amor, not so many with Gale.

If our options were Amor or Kirke, I think I'd be gutted at losing Amor too.

'Attempt' being the correct word. It won't soften the blow very much.

Correct it won't. But I'm sure most fans appreciate that it's maybe what needs to happen to ensure the financial stability of the club. And if that's the reasoning, I'm sure the sensible ones will accept the playing squad becoming a bit less talented, in order to get to that place.
As much as we'd all love to see Carvell in a Bulls shirt rather than Mexico (with no disrespect to the latter), we also know that the reasoning for such a replacement would be a sound one. And any replacement is better than none at all I'm sure. (Unless we bring in another Worrincy/Sheriffe/Tupou).
