I'd like to have heard it first hand but this board who now need fan's more than ever decide to alienate a certain (non god like super fans who aren't good enough to breath the same air as ST holders) section.

Not the time to be arguing among ourselves, so I'll just let you know it was something called sarcasm. I'm thoroughly annoyed with the nonsense we're yet again being put through because of charlatans "running"our club. At least the latest bunch seem to be realists but it looks like we are going to have to swallow some pretty bitter medicine over the next few years.

My gut feeling is that these guys are business men who will not spend more than the club can afford which can only be good for the long term future of the club.

I've just remembered that they said that they all had an option to walk away from the club on Friday when the fullness of the issues had been finalised but they said they were confident they were the people to turn it around.

There were no wild promises given. It was a stark view of the issues and nothing more. All they asked is that the past is the past and that they hoped people would give them a chance without assuming the worst in them.

My gut says that they are honest decent people who are going to have a good go at making things work.

A guy in the room suggested that they had the backing of the room and the majority applauded this so I think the general feeling was the same.

For the players, guess key question is who have gaps in their cap AND can afford the players they may want, namely Kearney, Sammut, Carvell etc., so all the moneybags clubs may be powerless at the present time.
Given we have been told cuts made in all departments, does that mean implementing salary cuts, which mean contracts are probably null & void, unless they resign a new one. The valuable players would probably only sign a 1 year contract at reduced rates in that scenario, if they can't find another club, yet more massive instability, assuming we make it through 2014!

Bullinenemyland summarises the forum pretty well. Much criticism of Whitcutt and OK which may lead to legal action being taken. Stressed on a couple of occasions that the RFL have been kept fully in the picture and they are happy with the remaining directors and the way they are taking action to resolve the issues.

The financial guy said they were now aware of the size of the problem and actions however unpalatable were being taken across the business to rectify the issues. The finance guy Andrew ? comes across as a shrewd cookie.

I asked if in light of tonights disclosures, was the size of the squad now the same size it would be come kick off. Franny replied It would depend on how the issues were resolved.

A bad night for sure, but I have to say I at least felt that this board have a grip on things now, which I never felt when Whitcutt was the main man.

As much as the haters are gonna hate, the sad fact that some of our new breed of superfan cannot accept is that I have called it right far more often than not for years in regard to the carry on at the club. It is so easy to see, even from up here how much of a joke we are as a club.

We really have some of the thickest fans on the planet. Nice to see some of them sticking together and putting the collective brain cell to use for once.

You sound a couple of months behind us. Hard-nosed pragmatism seems to have turned us round pretty quickly, a willingness to off-load the high earners and get the books straight. It sounds like you have much of the same. It's going to be an interesting winter.

Eddie, yes you were right about OK, but is that really the point at the moment? Hopefully this next corner we turn will be the one to stop us being the basket case of a club we've been since about 2008/9.

Yep, what we should have done first time around, but thats easy to say with hindsight. Hopefully we'll both come out the other end in a healthier state for the long term....providing we survive the short term!

There is a clear difference between making comments on facts and then making accusations based on assumptions.

There was a clear message tonight... the rumour mill has not and will not help the club come back from the brink. Everyone had their suspicions but don't think for one minute that you have the moral high ground here just because you chose to shout it about without having the full facts and then fell lucky.

Can I ask you... what can the new owners do to get your backing now? Its a genuine question and one I am keen to know as I'm lost with your constant criticism of anything associated with the club.
