I know sports fans are fickle & demand immediate success but it has to be viewed as a season of potential consolidation & building. The RH-P appointment is one of the few positives to come out of the second half of the season & give some optimism for the future. Carvell is a good signing, but it depends on the financial cost as to whether it is good value. If Ferguson has signed that will be a massive vote of confidence & also a sign that there is some funding in place. FC dealt with Whitehead, at least publically, in the best way possible, but I have reverted to having my own huge doubts about his ability to coach at this level.
