Quote: Bullseye "makes you wonder what Whitehead thinks after signing up. He could be forgiven for thinking he's been taken for a ride, like the rest of us. As has been said, this hasn't happen overnight yet we're being asked to solve it in a fortnight.

As for putting some money in, I think the club would get more if they could be more open and guarantee that we're not just postponing the inevitable. I've lost faith in Hood and Co and feel reluctant to send good money after bad.

Again I think that a share issue is the way to go. That way potential investors get something in return and the club doesn't remain in the hands of a few people, who, lets be honest, haven't really covered themselves in glory.'"

Totally agree with that...Shares for cash and a new board!

Do you have an indepedent supporters group??

If so surely you need to hastily arrange a meeting or forum and ask the club to come along and try and get some truthful answers, also someone like robbie paul whos a massive icon at the club would be good to get involved giving you a figurehead to potential sponsors and generate money, robbie asking fans to save the club would give you a lot more chance imo

The people I feel for are the supporters, the CEO,Chairman and Bod are the ones who get the club into such a state, but the people who always have to deal with the fallout are the fans, good luck and hope you get something long term sorted.

This has been an ongoing issue since the sale of odsal and Hood knows it, why leave it til now to beg the fans for donations with such short notice, back in January Halifax RLFC were ready to take over the fixture list of the Bulls as we was set to go bust but the sale of the ground kept us going for the last 3 months............

And on another note it is a very frustrating time for all bulls fans but now is not the time to start arguing with each other ie. Adeybull and VBFG

Good luck guys , I hope you come out of this ok . I was one that thought the RFL were screwing clubs like Cas and Wakey by buying odsal and financing the bulls , It seems like they were just lining you lot up so they could get their cash before the sh it hit the fan. The RFL are a hateful organisation and you can bet if Bradford was in Scotland or any other non rugby area they would be propping you lot up. The game is rotten from the top down.
Good luck again lads

I ask this possibly half-blinded without knowing the ins and outs, but is there a way to set up a fund, perhaps a charity or something to raise the money we need?

We need to go down the shares route and eliminate these clowns. I'll more than happily help set it up, run it or anything.

Please, if this is viable I want to do it.

This is just shocking news so soon after the ground issue. I can only offer my hopes that the Bulls survive these difficult times. True rugby league fans do not like to see fellow fans being put through the mill by irresponsible directors.
Unfortunately all banks are running scared re credit and loans. I don't think that what is happening at Rangers has done clubs any favours.
Hope you guys are getting facebook page up and a support group to co ordinate actions. Money collected by the fans should be used to give the fans a voice on the board and future transparency.
Best of luck

I haven’t got a clue at what to do, however, I do believe that the present board should be handed their P45, will they ever get the trust of the fans again, and would we still want them in their current positions. GUTTED, very angry, upset, fuming, disconcerted, mad, lived. Uhhhhhhhhh.

Wow. What a shocking development.

What happens if you don't find the money in time? Do a Wakefield and go into administration & re-launch with a new team and a points deduction next season? Where does this leave the RFL deal on Odsal?

There's already talk on other forums about cherry-picking your squad - surely this is the only way the money can be found in a short period of time? But not the best way of ensuring longer-term stability.

Bad news for RL and Bradford (not just the club). I hope a solution can be found that keeps the club competitive as a SL team. What a shame after Potter was beginning to turn things around - I wonder if the players had wind of this before the Salford game?

Gutted!! Felt sick this morning when i read this. Give Mr Hood £100 each to keep this idiot in charge i dont think so. We want answers and dam quick answers. What makes me more angry is the guy didn't even have the guts to ask us in person. We were all at the game sunday why not ask us then? Id rather set up a supporters trust an put £100 into that and buy the club.

That is through gift aid.
A normal PLC cannot use gift aid to recoup VAT IIRC.

I will say that I hope to goodness you get out of this mess.

Football in recent weeks has been portraying the "one big family" scenario,no disrespect to the round ball game, but RL fans are like that all the time,we ARE one big family,we all like to wind each other up sometimes, but I bet not one supporter from any other club wants to see the Bulls go to the wall, because at the end of the day the only people to really suffer are the fans, good luck in your fight, and I hope things can be worked out and end on a positive note.

Sammut must be another one as I cannot belive he would have walked into another bankrupt club if he had known the score.
