Yes, me. It would have been the funniest SL yet.

| I still hold the view that we should have kept Deacon another year, for his kicking ability alone.

| Quote Highlander="Highlander"I am fairly sure that any money that we get for Orford (which is unlikely to be significant I think) will be immediately offered to Saints to try and release Leon from his contract a year early'"
The Aussie press have reported that Bradford want around the 90k/100k mark for the release of Matt Orford, basically what South Sydney paid us for Sam Burgess last season.

| Matt Orford leaving would not be the end of the world for Bradford - providing a quality replacement is in the pipeline. No point keeping a player that doesn't want to be here & he hasn't exactly been immense in his time here. If you are able to get a transfer fee for him then you have done very well.
Do the Leon Pryce links have any justification or is it wishful thinking? If you were able to bring Leon Pryce in that would be an awesome signing for Bradford. I'd sooner have him in my team than Matt Orford. You would just need an organising scrum half to partner him, which is ironic now that you've let one of the best in the business go to Wigan. I don't know what your quota situation is like, but there aren't many top British halfbacks in the game. Could that talented lad you've signed up not be given a shot? I've read the Luke Robinson rumours and if you were able to bring him in it would be a shot in the dark, but it could pan out well.
1. Brett Kearney
2. Patrick Ah Van
3. Chev Walker
4. Paul Sykes
5. Shaun Ainscough
6. Leon Pryce
7. Luke Robinson
8. Andy Lynch
9. Heath L'Estrange
10. Nick Scruton
11. Oliver Elima
12. Glenn Hall
13. Jamie Langley

14. Wayne Godwin
15. Bryn Hargreaves
16. Craig Kopczak
17 Elliot Whitehead/James Donaldson
That would be a start for Mick Potter to work with in 2011. Evidently there would still be room for improvement and a need to strengthen further the following year, but that team should certainly get Bradford back in the play offs & have a good crack at the Challenge Cup. My team (Wigan) had to rebuild from the shambles that had left the club in tatters in 2005/2006. It has taken nearly four/five years, but we're finally back where we belong - so chin up, it is possible & Bradford can certainly aim to replicate the same recovery and just learn from previous lessons. My prediction is that the Burgess twins will be the catalysts in your recovery.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. But i have to say Orford was pretty much the best player every time he put on the Bulls shirt. Problem was simply that it wasn't enough times. Sometimes he really did look a class apart.

He still lives in Bradford and it's no secret that both Leon and Lee Gilmour hate/hated the travelling. Lee Gilmour couldn't be doing with it especially once his daughter Ellie was born (he has always lived in Hanging Heaton near Dewsbury). Also Leon seems to tell everyone everytime he enters a pub in Bradford that he's coming back but he's been doing that since he left so I'd take it with a pince of salt. At the end of the day Saints are up there with the best and he's one of their senior players plus he still has a year left on his current contract.

| Another signing announcement of Tuesday. 3/3 of the 'snippets' I've posted on recruitment this year right so far this off season, so let's see if the rest of it comes off.
