Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |

| We have a good scrum half now. He's got the rest of this season, a full preseason and hopefully this time next year everyone will be ready

Agreed. We could have had the biggest meanest fowards and the quickest outside backs in the game, wouldn't have made a difference without a 7 to get the team around the park.
We finally have a spine and a good one at that. Moss, Pryce, Chisholm, O'brien is a great combination to build the team around.
Also think we're due a bit of luck as our HBs have all been crocked last 3 years.

when does Ross ever post anything positive about the bulls? I used to watch bulls TV with his interviews with jimmy and just think this is cringe worthy viewing.

The interviews with Jimmy were all down to Jimmy. I spoke to one of the other blokes involved with those interviews a little while ago (not Ross or Hobbo who asked most of the questions) and that person said Jimmy was a total nightmare and he felt like the poor blokes asking the questions had been given an impossible task.
As far as Ross and positivity goes, I've spoken before about this. The idea he's positive or negative is total rubbish IMO. He reports what's there, regardless of which side of the fence it's fallen on. The story this week regarding Green having a few things to think about is essentially a collection of things everyone on here was saying too. He doesn't work for the club, so why should he be more positive than us fans on here? I generally think the tone of his pieces are very (VERY) similar to the general feeling amongst fans. If things were going well and everyone was loving the club, I expect his articles would be along a similar lines. When the club is doing well and his articles are still negative, I'll accept it's him. Until then, I think he gets a crap ride from a lot people.
Everyone praises Russ (Wobbly) for telling it like it is. But people criticise Ross for similar. Yeah I know he's a professional journalist, but I'd rather read the T&A being honest and forthright than kissing the backside of Marc Green and the club.

| I listened to the Bulls BCB show tonight and I actually feel sorry for Marc Green. it costs him £2.7m to run the club for the year before anything or anyone comes through the door. That figure includes Odsal rent, tong rent, players wages, upkeep of infrastructure, insurances, ulitity bills and travel costs for all junior and first team. it would seem other people were equally sympathic of what Mr Green has actually taken on. I think as fans we sometimes allow the results om the field to cloud are judgement on the owner - chairman. £2.7m is a lot of money.

Rohan Smith is better at explaining himself on Bulls TV than Jimmy. Lowes sometimes would just rant at the person asking questions. What I mean about Ross is why just focus on negatives? why not look at the great things happening with academy? I just feel t&a goes all doom and gloom. I enjoy reading his match reports though they usually have plenty of description which is vital when you can't go to games.

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of those figures. Then perhaps people could see what a millstone Odsal is.

Same here. wages are supposedly one million plus? does odsal cost another million, how much is the training facilities at tong? I heard it's state of the art so cloud be half a million?

It's a fair point. I do think the general feeling around the club is doom and gloom, and his stories simply reflect that. But yes, I agree, a really good positive article about the academy would be a welcome one. Perhaps he hasn't got the right access to do that kind of story, or like has been said, perhaps the relationship between him and senior figures at the club is strained. But it's certainly one area of the club that is a massive silver lining and perhaps could do with a little highlighting.

Not sure on ross and his current relationship with green. I remember when Dave Craven put out the Lowes Warrington story and he fell foul of hood and bennett.
Hopefully Ross can repair the damage with the club and start covering positive stories rather then all this will they wont they stay full time. Green said on BCB last week he's signed off a squad of 28 players for next year so that must mean full time?

| How long has Ross been with the T&A now? RL reporters don't usually hang around for more than 4 or 5 years now. Gone are the days when you had a reporter for long periods - think the last one like that at the T&A was Brian Smith (not the Aussie!).

I think this is his fourth season at the paper. I've no idea of his background or where's he from. Perhaps he might be in it for the long haul like bill marshall was or as you mention brian smith. I think the Bradford City guy has been at the paper for over ten years.

| Bill ended up covering cricket. He was only covering the Bulls for a short period IIRC. Nice bloke.

Not sure if I've got the right one but I thought he'd previously been RL correspondent on the Warrington Guardian.
