| Quote DILLIGAF="DILLIGAF"I am. Of both. But not together.
As you say, neither are the organising type. If we signed both, I suspect we'd end up like Wigan a few years ago before they brought Dobson in on loan.
However one of those two, along with an organising type half, would be good IMO.'"
I'd take Dorn if we had Orford (or another organiser there), but I don't think Obst is the type of signing we should be making, poor player imho. (plenty of heart though)

Dorn is on quota so would probably prevent us from signing said organising scrum half. If we we could sign such an organising scrum half then ideally I'd like to see us give Southernwood a chance at 6 and sign another half back to act as cover in case of injuries and to allow us to rotate Southernwood so that we don't burn him out.

| Robinson is one of the best English 7's, and imo it wouldn't be too bad if we were able to bring him in, freeing up a bit of cap space with Orfords money and then get Pryce or another 6 in.

Tomkins is a 6, as is McGuire, and he's better than Myler & Burrow.
That puts Long and Eastmond ahead of him, and Long is knocking on.
Is anybody else thinking that we should have kept Deacs though??

Disagree.
Tomkins & McGuire, although yes they are primarily stand offs, are just as good at 7 too (better in McGuire's case IMO). Burrow is better than Robinson. Myler I'd say the jury's probably still out on.
Personally I think Robinson is massively over-rated, but he would improve the squad if Ox is on his way, no doubt.

I'll have to disagree with you about Burrow.
None of them are available, but if they were (I'm not saying i wouldn't love them in our team) Tomkins 7 McGuire aren't the organisers we need. I'd take Eastmond in a heartbeat though!
Maybe I should have said, Robinson is one of the best english organising scrum halfs.

| When you look at how the Crusaders are playing .....
I wonder if Potter is also looking at options from the dark side? Schifcofske's certainly a success story.

Schifcofske had a good career in the NRL before moving to union, he was hardly unknown.
