Each to their own, I don't dislike, just wouldn't want to wear it. I bought the red training top this year which has a similar design and I like it on that, just not for the home shirt.....probably showing my age now icon_biggrin.gif

I don't really mind as long as they don't have that stupid collar that this years have.

To say ''dress like a fool'' is a bit strong!

like I said I can understand some fans that have been around longer than me (1997 my first season) will always want traditional shirts but the fact is, times and fashion changes all the time.. you have to move with the modern times.

Quote: Duckman "icon_evil.gif we can't have a traditional/normal/good home design because we had one 4/5 seasons ago!?!?!? if thats true we need to sack the kit suppliers. Like you say other clubs manage a fresh redesign of a traditional shirt most years, with unusual designs on the away shirts where they belong, why can't we?
I don't know how true it is but I was told that the 2007 traditional home shirt didn't sell very well.

The only evidence I saw of this was the discount rail (on the right as you walked in the club shop) still having around 50 of these shirts for sale at £10 halfway through the 2008 season.

IMO the away shirt from the 2009 season is the best Kooga effort to date.

Quote: hi de hi "Dear Kooga Shirt designer,

As the season is now drawing to a close and you are now sharpening your coloured pencils to design next seasons playing strip, please can you make an effort to come up with something better than the past two years nightmares of both home and away shirts.
I would love to show my support for the club but I refuse to be seen in public wearing a garment which would have appeared to have been designed by Jim Morrison from The Doors.
Every year on this forum fans come up with cracking designs all of which are totally superior to the rubbish we are served up with.
Please, please ,please listen to what we want!
If we have to have a wacky design then save it for the away shirt, but let’s have a classic for the home shirts.
I think the 94 design was class.

Thankyou,

Bradford Bulls supporter.'"

Here Here! this seasons home shirt is truly awful and the away not much better...RAB Hoops or V PLEASE!

there seems to be enough to suggest this is not the feelings of all the crowd, how about a poll?have to be fair to club if traditional does not sell-have to look at how to make money.maybe a heritage style shirt is what you want rather than upto the minute which sells ok.not a fan of purple but it helps the club and i wear it occasionally.

I'd love to see us break from tradition one year and have a shirt that is basically a print ofhttps://www.ayorkshireheart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/SaltsMill-Hockney.jpeg" >

The away shirt could behttps://www.city-of-bradford.com/cartwright-hall-01.jpg" >

You still keep leaving your keys under the mat at the back door so it's way too easy.

By the way you need to get some more gas for your soda stream.

Personally, this years home shirt looks great and the away kit is nice also.

Well done to the club and the shirt designer for making this years kit!

Traditional kit might appeal to some but you wouldn't see the youth of today walking proudly in a retro bulls kit. The more people wear the kit outside a match day the better!!

I think a heritage top from the club is a great idea. Do a smaller run, have it higher quality than the home/away shirts and charge abit more if necessary. Even if it doesn't sell out there would be no need to cut the price at the end of the season as its not tied to one year. No odds in having it on the shelves at full price till they sell.

The level of interest shown in that poll of old shirts earlier this year surely suggests there is a market. I've not bought a new top for years as I've not fancied any of them.

My opinion is that the traditional designs whilst being welcome, have been poorly delivered in the past. I think the versions of RAAB hoops and V could have been done better. The non traditional tops have been the better designs (last 2 aside) IMO eg 2005 and 2009

The whole shirt decision is marketing based and if the new design is too similar to the previous year then many will decide not to bother buying it. This is probably emphasised more with traditional designs, they are, by their nature, bound to be more than a bit 'samey' and more than usual are likely give them a miss if repeated too often.

There has to be a lot of money to be made with shirts so I can't imagine the club would want anything which wasn't liked. I guess it's easy to say they should listen to the fans but, as is always the case, the fans are all telling them different things.

I would gladly pay £60 for a good 'QUALITY' heritage shirt.
