| This is such a waste. We're going to have to write this season off, wasting all the preseason goodwill. The pledge scheme looks like a joke now and will struggle next season

| I bet Andrew Bennett's pulling his hair out. All that good work down the drain.

| Not surprised. Expected them to top 40. Just a joke team And I am shocked we are as bad as last year in truth. Worst side in league and I've never thought that in SL history.

| As i said earlier we should try get Noble back, Wigan was in the same mess under Millward, he only had roughly the same amount of games and Wigan gave him the axe. All Wigan's recent sucess is built on Noble's work. Swallow your pride Hood and get it sorted.

| It's not all bad with our team we should attract more away fans to Odsal. Excepting Catalans and Harlequins first missed away match for 3 years. Not going next week as the humiliation will be immense. Feel very sorry for the Board they have like City done everything off field to make it work, on field I haven't got a clue what the answer is.

| We probably couldn't afford to get rid of Potter and TBH Noble turned things around at Wigan in no small part due to the amount of cash he had to bring in some quality players. He wouldn't have that here.
We are in a desperate situation though. All the pre season optimism is now gone. We staring down the barrel of not winning another game this year and finishing bottom. Something has to give or we'll be losing our SL status if the rot continues. Once that happens it'll be the end of the club fullstop.
I remember back in the mid 80s we were in a similar situation and the club bought three players with money they didn't have (Grayshon, Harkin & Hobbs). It was an immense gamble and saw board members resign over it IIRC. However it probably saved us from relegation and extinction. Maybe a similar gamble is needed?

I agree. I also think the club already made the gamble when signing orford and it just didn't work out. We would be top 6 club with him playing every week. They kind of have to do it again. I don't think they expected this year to be anywhere near this bad.

It's much harder to change a bad culture into a good one than vice-versa.
I'd make a different comparison with City than the one you made, like at Valley Parade too many people (from board level down to supporter level) at Odsal accepted and excused under-performance over the last few years, some quite vociferously, and once you let that sort of attitude get ingrained in the psyche it's one hell of a job to turn it round, as has been shown at VP.

The money saving argument will see the club lose it's SL licence.
It's getting to the point that we can't afford not to spend some.
