| Sorry about that, mate. It does make depressing reading, for sure.

| Those who wanted rid of Jimmy did so because of poor team performances, a lack of tactics, baffling team selections and an overall stubbornness. The million pound game iteself is a perfect example of almost all of those criticisms.
All I want is a coach who can get the team playing with some consistency and at a level which precedes our full time status in a largely part time league. I have no expectations of promotion because I realised long ago that it was nothing more than a pipe dream. Nobody will be promoted under this system.

| I can't believe that article. What a hatchet job. I bet Matthew Shaw is the life and soul of the party.

| It's the utter contrast in such a short period of time that does it. 10 years (and a now a couple of months) from world champions in feb 2006 to 3rd in the mainly part time 2nd tier in 2016. Got to be up there for the most comprehensive fall from the absolute summit of a given sport in the world. It's been value for money drama wise since the mid 90's though. And as long as the club manages to exist at some level I'll take problems along with the trophies and finals and memories that will live with me forever over being in sl but never in with a hope of winning anything.
On the article I disagree with it being a poisoned chalice, for the right coach he'll be backed all the way by club and fans. Jimmy wasn't exactly hounded out, he quit. Not many fans expect promotion, we just expect to be competing at that end of the season, and with our squad add a 7 and that should be possible for any coach. And I suspect there will not be a shortage of interest and it's really not necessary for the likes of Marshall to rule himself out of something he's not been offered. Fwiw I also rule myself out, but I'm not the coach of local rivals so it didn't make the press deadline.

As a point of interest the Bulls have provided nearly 50% of the total Championship attendances so far this year - so some poisoned chalice . The only reason I can think of for the poor turnout last Sunday was that the Sheffield game was dire to say the least and I saw many supporters leave early that day. The last two matches I have felt some encouragement and think we just need a settled team and a scrum half.

| on the subject of the attendances I wonder if were seeing a little bit of a downturn due to citys form. Cant help wondering if a some of floating support is attending city instead as they make final push for a promotion spot. Hopefully once football season ends we might be able to attract them back.

I agree with all that.
I am also ruling myself out of the coaches job. Can we all do the same please

| How many Bulls fans also support City? I've no idea.
Thought the attendance vs Workington was unsurprising myself. It'll still be more than anyone else gets at home to them apart from maybe Leigh.

| I support both City and the Bulls. Not sure if there is anyone else who does on here but I don't really prioritise one over the other if I can help it. Instances where fixtures clash are very rare, although it is understandable if people who are fans of both are spending money on City rather than the Bulls, given where City are in their season and the Bulls' recent performances (prior to the Dewsbury game). FWIW, I went to both City and the Bulls the weekend just gone.

Good morning Bullseye.
Our highest home attendance so far has been 3,371 against Oldham. Mind you, we've yet to play you, Halifax, or Featherstone at home. We have played Workington - albeit in the notoriously poorly attended Challenge Cup competition - and the gate was just 2,049. So far, only Swinton and Oldham have brought over 100 visiting fans to LSV.

| To me suggesting Ferres is adding stability shows the level of knowledge Mr Shaw has. We have Inverse Midas guiding us downwards with misguided signings, utter ignorance of the coaches wishes player wise and belligerent rants at us fans if we dare voice displeasure. And he did so well at Cas and Wakey....
Had this clown gone I daresay Jimmy would have made a better fist of it but my guess is he could not take his reputation getting any worse by repeating Ferres's 'We don't need a 7' mantra ad infinitum when even the lowliest amateur club see the necessity.
I daresay our next coach will suffer the same stupidity,
Coach: 'Can you go after X please we need a scrum half?'
Ferres: 'Nah you don't want that... I've signed Michael Worrincy'
Ferres to Toronto anyone? Since the RFL regard him as a safe pair of hands....

| Morning all...
What is most concerning to me is he way the club is cutting down on the small things, such as the cheerleaders etc
Anybody else get annoyed when you go for a pee and cannot wash your hands properly as there has been no soap in the dispensers all season?
These little things add up to a general feeling a slow decline, does not make for a pleasant experience visiting Odsal.
I have complained to the club by the way.....

| I was surprised to see any Worky fans at all there (and I did see more than some), but it's about the least attractive fixture of the year. No surprise in the attendance there at all. Still on the same trend though.

| And I still believe there's no bigger indicator of cost cutting than the lack of road closure outside after the game. The invitation to use the crossing that are either a) half a mile away, and thus a mile away to get there and back, or to use the subway which leaves you on the wrong side of a whole other road with no refuge in the middle of it don't quite cut it. The only people who do that are the ones who sat in the front row of class at school.
