| I would guess that the administrators wages to date will be well into six figures. As I see it, if I pay, then my paltry few quid are going to go straight into the administrators coffers. I will gladly pay if we get a written assurance from Mr. Guilfoyle that he and his team are working for free.

These were my thoughts entirely, as I posted on another thread.
However I've been thinking (!), what if paying another £20.00, albeit to pay administration fees, means a player doesn't have to be sold to meet this cost?
Puts a different slant on it doesn't it?
I suspect we will do a bit of both cos 2 adults and 3 kids is gonna be about £70.00. Perhaps we'll use tickets for the kids and pay for the adults?

| We will not be paying any more money just to line the pockets of the administrators. We bought season tickets and pledged more money than they asked for during the pledge. Enough is enough.
We will have to wait and see what happens as regards paying for future games ie the make up and ownership of the club.As i have said previously should the club fold and a pheonix emerges from the ashes i would gladly contribute to a new venture.

| I don't buy this. The administration has been extended only a couple of days and then its either a deal or liquidation. If a deal is done then a deal is done, if not, then presumably the liquidator will have to cash in whatever assets he can for the benefit of the creditors. The amount we may take at the gate is only ever going to be a tiny fraction of what we owe HMRC, certainly not enough to make a difference.
I don't see how paying at the gate would prevent any sales, and perhaps more importantly, in my opinion, only a small number of people will "double-pay" so I would just be wasting my money. But that's just my opinion. If I was personally convinced I would be doing something for the players or the staff then I'd pay.
If the rumoured potential new owners want my money, then they should do their deal before matchday. If they want to sit and wait in the hope the fans will cough up yet again then that is their decision. I can understand any such consortia wanting to keep more cash in [itheir[/i pockets by the game of brinkmanship, but not why I should pay it instead.
Frankly, the potential threat of player exodus should be of much more concern to these people than it seems on present evidence to be, but I ain't playing.

| Tinfoil's got a cheek to ask; I ain't stuffing any money into his pockets. If Sunday is the last hurrah then season ticket holders should be able to watch the game without coughing up any more. It's the least they can do.

| If you can afford to pay then be my guest. If you can't then that's fine. We have put enough money into the club and it is understandable then many of us can't afford it.

| Not bring funny, I would do anything in my power to help the Bulls but this WILL be like the 500k it will disappear with no affect of the club. Besides I simply cannot afford even £15, so I would not be able to pay. Unfortunatly it's up to the buyer now.....

| Having neglected to buy a season ticket this year I'll be paying or I don't get in, assuming they've got people on the gates that is.

| I'm compromising....
I'm using the season ticket but going to take the Mrs and one of my daughters for their first game of the year. Told them it might be their last trip to Odsal for a while

| To the best of my recollection, Guilfoyle most definitely did NOT ask season ticket holders to pay.
I was ten feet from him, and paying close attention.
In fact, he seemed to go out of his way to at best skirt round the question. His final comment on the subject was along the lines of "well if any dedicated fans feel they want to pay, thats fine - happy days". I presume the actual words will be on the to-yube clips.
And IMO he would have been a fool to ask or even suggest it. Why? Because that would be no different, in all practical senses, to the pledge. And, if the club sill goes to the wall, the very last thing he would want would be an army of angry fans demanding their money back, saying they had been talked into paying under false pretenses.
And part of his reply would probably anyway be along the lines of "We have no records of who paid and who did not, so we are in no position to determine if you have any claim".
Don't forget too that it is quite possible (and legal) that any surplus cash could be applied to paying some of his fees and costs.
And nothing above is meant to be any criticism of Guilfoyle - quite the opposite. I felt he handled that issue in a professional and astute manner - left the door open if folk still want to pay, but the caveats were implied and he never said anything that could be see as seeking people to do that. His alternative plea - bring more (paying) people - was totally the correct and proper approach IMO.
Think about it?
Incidentally, I have no intention whatsoever of paying twice. Not as a protest; not because of who may or may not gain control; partly because I paid nearly a grand in total last time, so I fell I have done my bit anyway; but especially because the administrator made it reasonably clear he can put the game on without requiring it, and so any such funds could IMO be better applied to something that the fans had more control over.

| As the main creditor in this mess is HMRC then in an indirect way tax payers - a catagory most of the posters here fall into - will be picking up the tab.
I was in two minds about paying at the weekend but as one way or another something is going to happen in the next week - new owner or liquidation - then I don't think a few more £ from me at the weekend really makes any difference?
If I thought the money was going to the coaching team or the players - well that would be different - and if anybody does organise a collection for these heros I will definitely contribute. And I also suspect there is going to be the need to do a lot of rebuilding work so I will keep my powder dry till there is a bit more clarity on the situation. Fingers crossed again!

Whether he said it outright or not he certainly insinuated it Adey, the message came over loud and clear.
