Gareth Widdop & Mark Flanaghan stand out as British guys out there but not sure how they would stand in terms of federation trained/homegrown etc.

I've always rated Adam Blair and Lance Hohaia always seems to do damage when he's playing against England.

Apart from them I'm not too sure.

Jamal Idris and Adam Blair please.

idris stands out as a useful player to bring on board. could be strike were looking for.

Idris will get signed on again, however I would be tempted to go for Widdop

melbourne will re-sign widdop for sure.

Idris is horrendously overrated.

Darius Boyd is the name that jumps out at me, but Saints will sign him back on. Justin Hodges as well.

Would Mark Flanagan count as 'home grown' for us?

If so, he could be worth looking at

Flanagan played in our acedemy then went to Wigan, so i think he would class as home grown.

was he with us for 3 yrs though?, which i believe is the qualifying period. And he really a better prospect at loose than addy/bateman/donaldson?. Not really first area of team I'd look to strengthen.

Boyd will go wherever Bennett goes. Disagree about Idris, he's a monster! We've no realistic chance if signing him anyway!

I think a lot depends on other factors and remembering that players who appear to be unavailable suddenyl become available during the year.
I would avoid back rowers due to our good juniors and elima/langley. with scruton,koppy,lynch, hargreaves plus crossley and burgess i would avoid props, disco and likely heath i would avoid hookers so it reall is a backs game.
Cooper and Hodges are not players i would chase to be honest. Cooper gets a lot of rave reviewers on here but not somone I am overly impressed with.

A lot depends on our own OOC backs to be honest - walker,ainscough,ah van, herbert, raynor.

I reckon we should throw silly money at Lockyer to convince him to go for another year.
