| Awful for JP, he's gotta be gutted.
Never understood why so much animosity between some of our fans and Peacock. Regardless of which team he left to play for, he was absolutely awesome for us and deserves to be remembered as such. I for one bought him Testimonial shirt (although I wouldn't if he'd have done it in Rhinos colours!) and will never ever boo the guy. Legend of the game and the final would have been better with him in it.

No matter what he has done for the club, people will never forgive someone for switching to a local rival. I don't have anything bad towards him. He's one of the few Leeds players i've not heard about slagging off the Bulls.

| from a routine injury to a season ender. obviously i'm more upset about him missing the england games. he's still got a couple of years in him playing for a successful side. He might well get to wembley yet.

| Shame for him. Leeds going to be struggling in the forwards at Wembley now. Shame.

JP had his reasons to be fair. It was just after Iestyn Harris had been signed, and according to JP's autobiography, his contract was due for renewal but CC made an offer and refused to budge, even though JP had become an international and won Man of Steel since his previous deal. CC eventually told JP's agent to tell him to go forth and multiply, and we'll get someone in from Australia, (though this was couched in more barrack room type language), so Jamie did just that.
Just to the last bit, I've not heard any Leeds players slagging off the Bulls, to be honest, nor do I think they would, no-one knows what lies in the future, so why would they make disparaging remarks about a club which might want to sign them at a future date? It would appear that the players get on pretty well in fact.

| Peacock is one of the most important Leeds players, if not the most important player, for the mental toughness he brings to the team. I feel that we can win the CC without him if the likes of Leuluai, Bailey, Eastwood, Kirke and/or possibly Ambler produce something close to their best rugby but the play-offs might be one step too far coming from 4th/5th without JP.

Indeed it is. But someone will have to replace him sooner rather than later. After Graham and Morley who will be certs, it is time for the likes of Lynch, Scruton, Bailey, Carvell, Wood, Harrison etc to show us that they are good enough to step up at this level. Hopefully Burgess will stay in the second row.
But who knows who McNamara will pick - judging on some of his Bradford selections he may just try and plug the gap with more and more back-rowers. Come on down Michael Worrincy

I've not seen that. It's quite unequivocal in Jamies book 'No White Flag' (which I'll mention is a superb autobiog and way above the usual 'sports star' standard and covers mainly all the Bradford years, so would be good buy for anyone who has the club at heart)
Is there a source/quote from Caisley, anywhere?
