As a Bulls fan myself and Chairman of Shaw Cross I’d like to offer Bulls fans the chance to use our facilities on Matchdays.

We’re less than 5 minutes walk from the Dewsbury ground, we have a decent sized car park and very reasonable drinks prices.

I was thinking of charging £3 for parking and with your parking ticket you get a free drink when you order any other drink (hot drinks, soft drinks, draft beers).

Would this be something that would interest people?

Sounds a great offer.
Google maps states an 11 min walk to the ground rather than 5??

I wouldn’t have said it was 11 minutes but I might be wrong.
I’m not the most active bloke in the world and I’d say it’s a very steady walk.

Ok so it might be 10 mins but that's knack all and you're helping support a local amateur club with a bull as chairman. Seems fair enough to me.

10 mins might be "knack all" to you and thats great but for someone who travels with an oap or has a problem with their knees it might be a touch too far.
I was just trying to establish which was more accurate, 5 or 11 mins

Fair enough. I'll just declare my competing interest of also having a problem with my knees. Shaw Cross club (presumably where we'd be parking) as opposed to the Rugby pitches is probably a steady and fairly level 6 or 7 minutes I'd say.

I'm a pensioner too and have fairly dodgy knees (too many marathons, half marathons and 10ks I think) but I walk to and from Odsal on matchdays from Tyersal so I doubt I'd get warmed up with just11minutes..... h025.gif

That sounds a great deal. And if I'm helping another amateur team too, all the better. Thanks mate!

Hi Everyone,

Just to confirm we'll be open on Sunday before the game.

Come in any time from 12.30. Parking will cost £3 and with your parking ticket you'll be entitled to a free draft beer, soft drink or hot drink with the purchase of any other draft beer, soft drink or hot drink.

Hopefully I'll catch up with some of you there.
