The general election affords us a great opportunity to get in a heated debate, say things we don’t mean and fall out with one another. Let's get cracking...

I'll vote Monster Raving Loony as usual if there is a candidate, but I refuse to dismiss them as "other". They remain the ONLY party that would officially re-name the ludicrous misnomer "Five Lane Ends" to the geographically correct "Six Lane Ends".

I guess I'm not the only life long Labour supporter who can't bring themselves to vote for hopeless Corbyn and detestable Abbot, but still despises the Tories and thinks the rest are a waste of time.
Terribly sad state of affairs when people who care and are intersted in politics are seriously considering not voting at all.

Unfortunately, right now I don't really feel inspired to vote for any of the main three parties. I'd probably vote for the Green Party if I didn't think it would basically be a wasted vote.

I kind of gave up hope after the referendum result pretty much.

I despise the Tories with a passion. The older I get, the more I hate them. This election has little to do with Brexit, it is an opportunity to increase their majority to >100 seats to enable them to push through even more extreme policies that they would struggle to get through with the current majority. I feel better now.

Spot on Tigertot. Unfortunately with the current Labour leadership there's nothing to oppose them, which is why "Maggie part 2" is going ahead with it.
I'm afraid we're looking at many more years of Tory destruction of the nhs and the Bulls in the doldrums (if they continue to exist at all). As i said on another thread, I'm not an optimist!

Much love and respect to my favourite moderator for lumping that bunch of clowns the SNP as "other". A refreshing change to the constant Indy love-ins that I have to deal with every single day of my life by that mob and their abhorrent followers.

TBH, this is difficult for me. The Tories will obviously win but it gives us a chance up here to get off the post-IndyRef SNP bandwagon and rid Westminster of some of these fools once and for all.

Therefore I sadly have to lean towards the Tories as a protest vote and the reasons are simple.

1. Labour are even more unelectable under Corbyn than they were under Milliband
2. Ruth Davidson, leader of the SCottish Conservatives is, in my opinion, the finest politician in the UK by a mile.
3. The Tories are the second party in Scotland nowadays (which is incredible) and the best chance of ridding the SNP.
4. The Green Party in Scotland are merely the SNP's environmental department.
5. UKIP's goal was the leave Europe. What else have they got?

Sorry Tigertot. Blame PP, he started it.

I would rather pimp my daughter than vote Tory.
Caroline Lucas is the best politician in the UK. Though I accept Ruth Davidson might be the only Tory not to be tortured & slowly dismembered come the revolution.

How fit is your daughter? On a scale of 1-10 (10 being Mila Kunis, 1 being Anne Widdicombe)

I look on her as a human being not an object. That sort of attitude will be punishable by castration after we have finished with the Tories. Didn't Mila Kunis play for HKR?

In 2015 I voted UKIP, it looks like their job is done now although would love to see Farage in the House of Commons. So unless big Nige is standing in Bradford I shall be voting Tory for the first time ever

Strategic voting will play a significant part in a UK election for the first time I think. I'm voting for whichever party locally has the best chance of toppling the Tory incumbent.

I think whatever seats she will take off Labour, she will lose others to the LibDems.

Did you hear that bloody woman today? "A vote for me will strengthen my hand for a better (sic) brexit" - yes, but will also damage the NHS & social fabric of the country even further you Tory witch - burn her!

And, just for reference, I want to get the correct Brexit figures out first, so that no-one can misquote them and irritate me.

If you want to use the 52% figure - then you can't follow it with "of the electorate voted for Brexit"

The 2 options are - 37% of the electorate voted Brexit

or

52% of the electorate[i that voted[/i, voted Brexit

Saying 52% of the electorate voted Brexit is a lie. And is really bugging me. Even now. I'm going to get a cuppa icon_mad.gif
