| Right now we can't be sure there'll even be a team to support in 2017
But, if we do somehow manage to stagger to the start line next season, where do you think we should play our games?
Vote in the poll and discuss in the thread

| Isn't this a moot point? If we have a team which resembles the Bradford Bulls next year the RFL will only let us play at Odsal surely?
Besides, isn't the pitch at VP too small? I seem to remember us getting special dispensation from those clever guys at the RFL to play there, and even then Henry Paul (and a young Deacon IIRC) were kicking goals from the half way line.

| Maybe more to point both football and rugby fixtures are already out. They aren't going to get rearranged around availability of either vp or horsfall. Any ground change would have to be 2018 onwards, which is also I think when our obligation to play at odsal in terms of Oswald settlement runs out.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| Bulldoze both Odsal and VP and build a custom-made stadium for both sides to share. It is the only sensible option for both sides and has been for some time IMO.
If it is good enough for Hull, Wigan, Huddersfield etc in RL and Saracens/Watford and London Irish/Reading in RU then it is good enough for us.
Sadly this will never happen though.

Wouldn't say this is a sensible option for City by any means, nor would I want it to happen. The fans have a strong attachment to VP and the club are finally making use of the stadium's capacity with the cheaper season tickets (sold ~17500 this season).

| Us playing at VP would require the RFL deciding that their Odsal lease wasn't so iconic after all.
I'd happily watch us play there now. Odsal is a millstone. Horsfall probably isn't up to standard but I've not been for years.
I think this is the least of our worries tho!

| So do I Bullseye.
If the outcome is League 1 or lower, we'll be out of Odsal whatever imo - there's just no way it woud be viable. Even in the Championship, if we're left with no hope of achieveving anything [12 point dedeuction, for instance] then support would crumble and the same applies. We'd be lucky to see the season out if we're left to pay the cost of the upkeep and lease of Odsal in those circumstances.
I'm not sure what the RFL will have to do with where we play to be honest, Bullseye. If it's a new club the lease is gone totally anyway, along with everything else. Even if the old business survives, Whatever the cost of any escape clauses it might be better to just go and leave the RFL with it. Why do I think the RFL wouldn't have had the nous to put any penalties in for leaving early?

| I don't really see how the ground question is 'the least of our worries'
On the contrary, I think its become clear that the ground issue is at the very heart of the unsustainable nature of the Bulls. In fact it is one of the greatest of our worries! As people have said, Odsal is 'a millstone' that surely no sensible new owner is going to want to take on under the current RFL-led terms.
Of course, there isn't an obvious alternative....
Part of the reason for setting up the poll was to demonstrate that its a lot easier to say 'we need to leave Odsal' than it is to come up with a realistic alternative.

| If you live in a houseboat and it sinks then you have two problems, the least of those is that you now have nowhere to live - the major problem is keping yourself afloat.
