Well hopefully the team will remember the beating they took earlier in the year rather than the one they handed out 2 weeks ago as the basis for their performance.

I really think that Bradford should be pushing for a decent crowd for this event and that pushing should be backed by the RFL. After all, this match is their idea

As much as it would be nice, I'm afraid you can't polish a turd. Which is essentially what this "competition" is.

I honestly can't see the crowd being much more than 3,000, if that.

I'll still be there, as I have been for all the home shield games. But I can't really blame those who have no interest in such a pointless competition.

As far as the game itself goes, I think the biggest barrier our lads may need to overcome is complacency after the 80-0 score the previous weekend. We've seen too many times in the last couple of years complacency has bitten us on the @rse, even when they supposedly try to guard against it.

We need to hope that doesn't happen - after all £50K is a lot of money to us, and will be to Sheffield too.
