With all the rumours flying about and reports in todays' League Express the club really need to make a statement to confirm or deny these rumours. Most supporters, like myself are completely fed up with it all and need to know the truth. The more it goes on, the more damage it is doing to the club. Please let us know honestly what's happening.

Sometimes I think the club must get sick of having to confirm or deny things, especially those rumours that have no substance.

But on the other hand, this has been reported in League Weekly (not one to just print rubbish), so a response should come from this IMO. They don't have to write a massive statement every time, a simply tweet from the official verified account to say "This isn't true. Players were paid on time. Ferres is still at the club" or words to that effect would be enough. Or of course confirming it, but I suspect they would need to put a lengthier statement out for that.

Simple denials though for untrue stories do not take a lot. When it's reported in one of the trade papers, I think something needs to be said. If it was just Gledhill tweeting about something again, fair enough they could ignore it without worrying anyone. The fact they're not saying anything despite the fairly reputable report though, just makes people believe there is truth in it.

Ross Heppenstall tweeted about 10am today that Steve Ferres has quit as MD, so that bit looks official now. Green still in Ibiza and Robbie in charge at Odsal.

STEVE Ferres has quit as managing director of Bradford Bulls, with official confirmation expected from the club today.

The former Bradford Northern half-back, who enjoyed a long career in the game as a player, coach and administrator, was appointed when Marc Green took ownership of the club in March 2014.

He was effectively Green’s right-hand man and largely responsible for player recruitment during the past three seasons.

Chairman Green, who is currently on holiday in Ibiza, last week issued a statement defending Ferres’ record on player recruitment.

But Ferres, who enjoyed notable success as an administrator at York City Knights and also served as chief executive at Wakefield and Castleford, has opted to resign.

Players and staff were also expected to be paid today as huge doubts continue to surround the club’s financial state.

With Green still out of the country and Ferres now gone, Robbie Hunter-Paul currently in charge of operations at Odsal.

Said before that this situation seemed like there was more substance to the rumours. For Ross to put that in the T&A says something is definitely going on, as he doesn't put it in there without knowing there's some truth to it.

Here we go again folks.

Taking a different tack the rumour of Ferres to Toronto has been making the rounds for the entire season. Perhaps an opportune time to exit presented itself?

In all honesty, I couldn't care less about Ferres resigning. The bit that worries me is these rumours (which seem to have some credibility) about players and staff not getting paid and financial difficulties.

A casual stroll throught the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.:11062.gif

Finally, FINALLY I have a chance to do this:

My colleague bumped into Omari Caro over the weekend. He seemed disappointed with the team's finishing position in the table but had no concerns about not being paid or anything like that.

Probably meaningless but I feel I have joined a none too exclusive Rugby League tradition.

Yeah, but then he shags people to get in magazines. He's going to get paid.

Thanks for the update re Caro.

Makes you wonder what other bullpoop has been flying around.

Obviously there’s a need for an official comment now to clarify where we are and it appears we can expect one. It’ll be interesting to see if that statement addresses the various rumours of staff not being paid etc.

I’m not sure Robbie will be doing the running of the club for long – Green needs to get back here pretty sharpish I reckon and he needs to find someone who can take over the day to day running of things.

I don’t blame Ferres for going given the flak he’s had. Mistakes have been made that’s for sure but some of the stuff on social media has been way OTT.

It was always today they would get paid. If the last day of the month fell on a weekend it's the Monday they get paid the club has always operated this way.

It's been widely known for ages in the game Ferres was been installed at Toronto at the request of the RFL.

Exactly, the Fat Controllers 'Safe Pair of Hands'. Can we call it 'Ferexit'?

Seems like anything coming out of the club is going to be woven into 'The sky is falling down!!!'

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg

In any set of fans there are ones for whom the club can do no wrong and anything bad is unfounded rumour, but what commonly happens is 75% of the rumours ultimately become rumours with substance as it appears is starting to happen. Very sad and cruel on the loyal fans who have bought into Greens dream of the fans coughing up more and more and everything will be OK mantra

You can't deny something that is true.
