As expected really, I don't think the club could do much else.
Personally I don't have a problem with current prices so I'm perfectly happy with this. Interested to see what extra benefits and incentives membership gets you in 2016...

I'm not sure about this. We were sold a hatful of promises with our very expensive (in second division terms at least) season ticket, and really only seen 1 full performance from the team this season. By any standards that is pretty poor value.
However if you like repeated excuses for poor performances, scraping wins past part time teams, and Mr Lowes excruciating post match interview technique every week then your quids in.

Are they still pushing the story that we are a SL team playing in the championship as that ship has sailed and eyes are now wide open.

I feel sorry for Marc Green to be honest

He's stuck between a rock and a hard place with next years season ticket prices, especially when we don't even know yet which league we'll be in (even though we might have a fair inkling after the past 2 games)

He can't possibly raise prices as we are already paying top whack, but he can't cut them as it would make a mockery of the figures he gave at that presentation in the big marquee before the season - when he broke down how the season ticket price would fund everything.

I think its going to be a hard sell if we're in the Championship, as seems increasingly likely. But what can he do?

True, but the club sold a fair number of tickets following relegation, I'm sure they'll come up with something to keep the fans on side

Yeah, but this year they rode on the back of 'do you want a full-time SL standard squad?'. We all shouted 'Yeah, we do Marc' and he then said it would cost £230 for a season ticket.

It'll be hard to pull that off again. Because having that 'full time Super League standard squad' didn't really seem to help much in the last two games!

We'll still have a full time squad though. As long as we remain full time, prices won't be any cheaper.
You want cheaper season tickets? Fine, we'll go part time and be stuck in this league forever.

This is the perennial argument though isn't it. Do we settle for the fact that we won't get 4000 memberships next year because they are too expensive for people? If 500 people decide that they aren't renewing then that wipes about £125,000 off the budget for next season.

Or do they come up with some sort of enticement that will draw in more people?

It's not easy. But they can't just keep on squeezing us loyal, but diminishing, core of supporters.

We are probably stuck in it until the league structure changes anyway. Not that I would ever want that switch.

Not sure I will be purchasing another membership while Mr Lowes is our coach, everyone makes mistakes and the club certainly made a mistake here, feel for Ferres and Marc in having to deal with him and for the poor staff who have to work with him

I didn't get one this year because of the price, and I won't be getting one next year. Our perfomances of late have been pathetic.

I guess the club always has to be optimistic, after all it has no say in what goes on behind the scenes, but surely there would be few who who think a 'promise' of promotion could ever be guaranteed? I never expected promotion under the current set up [whoever the coach was] and don't truly expect anything until the that league set up changes - I've already said it was formulated to give the illusion of a promotion chance without ever delivering it, and I've seen nothing to change my mind.

None of that makes me more, or less likely, to continue my support for the club though - so I'll be there as usual, whichever division, though I expect most of us have fair idea on which it will be. The club can only do the best with the rules it has to work under, and the one certainty in RL is that nothing lasts forever and this unfair system will change.

I had the same thoughts on how the pricing structure was sold to us at the beginning of this season - and I too remember Marc's presentation of it..

I will be renewing mine.

I think its easy to forget where we were, and how close we came to (possibly) disappearing altogether.

I believe in Marc Green and I believe in his approach to building bridges with the fan base, which as far as I am concerned, is unprecedented in the efforts made.

Granted, he (and possibly another two managers) -have a tough time coming up, with the mounting criticism of JL and his decision making.

I have faith in Marc Green - a luxury not experienced since Chris Caisley resigned.
