| What a game and what a way for Sam Burgess to bow out of Rugby League. I'm looking forward to seeing Souths over here next year for the World Club Challenge. It's a massive shame that Sam won't be part of that team.
This shot tells the whole story.

| Fractured cheekbone in very first tackle, yet still led from the front, absolutely immense.

| Was an epic battle. Not the most skillful game you will ever see, but if your like me and like a battle of forwards, this was the match for you.
All 3 Burgess boys did themselves proud today. I think that's the first time Tom has played and not knocked on!
Sam Burgess was already a legend, in my opinion, but this match has created a legacy for him.
3 former Bulls, tearing up the Aussies in the NRL grand final was great to watch - I was jumping and screaming when George scored his try.
Congratulations to South Sydney, the Burgess clan and their mother. I followed them all quite a bit since their move down under, watching as many games as I could - I don't think you will find a more 'honest' and deserving family.

| I still can't believe he's going to be playing the other code from now on. What a bloody waste.

It's a real pity but after this result he has even less to prove in our sport. Last year with bulls in 2020?

Honestly can't see him in a Bulls shirt again. Almost heartbreaking knowing he once wore the red amber and black. A legend of out era!

| TBH, the main reason Union even came sniffing was the same reason they always do. ie the England RU team has had it's backside handed to it so the RFU go panic buying the biggest name in League. I have a feeling we've not seen the last of Sam Burgess in RL

| What a way for Sam to bow out of rugby league. Such a shame he'll be playing in union from now on but I couldn't be more pleased for him after this. He deserved to be in a grand final winning team and now he has achieved that.

| He'll be back in RL once his deal in Union is up. He will be 28 then, plenty of time for him to return home to a newly promoted Bradford and lead us to victory at Old Trafford.

| Unless South Sydney fall apart and Crowe leaves, I suspect Sam will be returning there. I wouldn't be surprised if Crowe and Sam haven't already discussed it in an informal manner

| Well what a terrific set of Men, Sam just being one of the trio. Superb role models.
I really want Sam to go one better than SBW. There are some that believe that he is not up there, well lets see ....

Never mind union, he should take up football. Wouldn't last two minutes.

| As part of our deal to flog Sam to Souths, wasn't it stated that we had first refusal on him if he came back to UK RL? Might be misremembering that - plus we've had about 5 owners since then and Sam has moved on from Souths. Still fun to think "what if" though. (Such as "What if Leeds sign him and we take them to court..."!)

| What's happened to Luke B? I don't keep up with NRL but haven't heard him mentioned. Not that I am suggesting him for the Bulls, though it's a nice thought.
