| Not having a season ticket this year i'm unable to vote but not too many contenders. I thought Purtell was looking good for the top honour until his injury. Consistently good ever week in a struggling team.
Think it will go to Gaskell and you won't hear any complaints from me.

| At one poiny Purtell would have walked it. Still might. I am half tempted to give it to Chev just for putting his hand up.

I think you can still vote, I just did mine and couldn't remember my ST number - it still worked.
I voted for Adam O Brien, I think his progression from the start of this season up to the level of performances he is putting in now has been fantastic. Despite his young age he has played as an 80 minute hooker for several weeks now and has not looked out of place whatsoever.
First name on the teamsheet for me, woth his weight in gold.

| was a toss up between Purtell,Gaskell and Kearney for me. All been good for sustained parts of season but each disrupted by injuries. Went for Purtell in end.
O'brien for most improved player, hes only really started to shine since Lowes took over, although thats probably a reflection of increased game time and responsibility hes been given

| Its got to be either gaskell or O'Brien. I voted o.b . I think he has had a great season . Always goes forward not many mistakes . Im not sure werepeople are coming from saying Kearney . I think he has had his worse season with us this year . I thought we should have kept Kear at full back he seemed much better at one onone tackles .but that's just my opinion

| Voted for Purtell. Notwithstanding his recent injury he has been by far our most consistent performer.
I think Adam O'Brien should, and will, get the award for 'Most Improved Player' or whatever title it is
I think Gaskell is only picking up votes because he's scored a few tries lately, I don't think he was actually very good earlier in the season. And I really don't get why people would suggest Kearney. His defence has been as woeful as ever and his attack hasn't been anywhere as effective this season. And both of them have missed too many matches this season through injury

| I went for O'Brien, feel a bit guilty about deserting Purtell but he's spent too long injured. Pity because he was easily playing his best rugby for us by a country mile.

| Hmmm
Adam O'Brien 25 appearances this season
Adrian Purtell 21 appearances this season
Indeed, when you factor in O'Brien being spelled with Diskin for most of the season, I'd wager that Purtell has spent more minutes on the pitch than O'Brien...

| I went for Purtell. Made a big improvement this year in spite of everything. O'Brien has got better as the season went on but for total contribution I went for Purtell.

| I voted for Purtell, sad reflection of much of the season for too many players when someone injured for quite a few games has not been seriously challenegd for this except IMO by O'Brien towards the end of the season. Everyone else has had moments but Purtell has played closest to his best for more of the time than anyone else through the season as a whole IMHO.
O'Brien 2nd or most improved/best youngster/forward or however they decide to split these awards.

| O'Brien will be the most improved if there is an award for it, based mainly on the last few weeks while Jimmy has been coach.
However for player of the year I'd go for Purtell. His try scoring record before he got injured was excellent and he was playing by far his best rugby since he joined the club. I also think Gaskell, when playing at stand-off, has been great too. He's actually tenth in the league for try assists.
