| After the Challenge Cup comeback win against Catalan we take on Warrington. Their form has been patchy this season and they aren't the team they were 2 years ago (or last year even). But then again neither are we as performances have shown this year.
We are still on -2 points just over a 1/3 of the way through the season. Can we beat the Wolves to get to 0 points and have a chance at survival especially with the result of our appeal due soon?
I think the Catalan game showed that the key to us winning games relies on 2 things......Gaskell at Fullback with Kearney at Stand Off....and going a long period with no mistakes. I think in the Catalan game there was a period of 30-50 mins where we didn't make any silly mistakes. Coincidentally this is where we scored 30 unanswered points.
In my opinion the Wolves can be beaten this Sunday. Hopefully we get another win under our belt.
My team for Sunday:
17. Lee Gaskell
5. Elliot Kear
34. Joe Arundel
3. Adrian Purtell
5. Jamie Foster
1. Brett Kearney
7. Luke Gale
14. Manase Manuokafoa
9. Matt Diskin
30. Jamal Fakir
33. Jay Pitts
16. Danny Addy
18. James Donaldson (if fit)
20. Adam O'Brien
15. Adam Sidlow
11. Tom Olbsion (changed the game when he came on against Catalan)
13. Chev Walker/21. Adam Henry (not decided yet but Henry did well when he came on last weekend)

| Manu will be out this week, need another prop
George had one of his best games, would be disappointing to see him dropped.
Chev was, imo, great last week, real steel in defense, would have him in over Henry

| Important game this. If we get battered then it makes last week irrelevant. We need to start games much better. Concede 16 points in first 10, points against, it's game over. Important game this one.

| I agree Bull Mania....very important game. I thought it was going to be another Wigan job when Catalan went 16-0 up in 15 mins. Wolves won't give a lead like that up.

| Every game is a cup final for us now. Feel we have a chance if we can start in the same way we finished against the Cats and avoid giving Wolves any soft points. Hope Donaldson is fit and ready for another big tackling stint.

Exactly. I personally couldn't give a stuff about the cup so that victory would be of no solice whatsoever if we fail to compete against Wire.
Somewhere along the line we need to sneak a win against one of the bigger clubs as well as knocking over the other bottom 6 teams. As Warrington are about as average as they've ever been these last few years then why the hell not. This is entirely feasible for us but we'll still need a tremendous effort to get a result.

| I might be wrong but I thought Gaskell played at 6 in attack with BK at FB then swapped in defence??
Quietly optimistic for this one purely based on last weeks 60 minute performance VS Warri's indifferent form.

| You don't need 3 centres in a 17 man squad. If Arundel is in, then Henry is out.
Equally with the wingers. All 3 played well. Foster took 2 tries, is main goalkicker (although Gale been kicking ok recently). I think George would normally get the nod ahead of Kear but Kear's been playing well as well. I think Kear will be dropped for this one (bit of a kick in the balls, but would be ok if we won..)
Then we come to 2nd row/LF. Pitts will be in. Ferguson as well if fit. Donaldson if fit. Addy I think is above Olbison in the pecking order, if only for his utility value. Chev will be rotating with prop. So Olbison to miss out for me. Again, he played well at weekend, but..
The props & hookers pick themselves.

| I thought Olbison played better than Addy at the weekend so I would drop Addy if a backrow had to go.
We have options across the field apart from at Prop where we have Sidlow and Fakir and Walker filling in and that's it.
That could easily cost us if we don't get any go forward. However if we just repeat the mistake free, well disciplined rugby we played between the 15th and 70th minute of the Catlan game we have a decent chance.

I thought Pitts was a Prop, or at least can play there?
We've plenty of second rowers, and a shortage of props for this week - so Pitts to prop seems an obvious move

| Pitts to start at prop to replace Nas, with Ferguson dropping into back row?
