He has stepped down 'after having talks with the RFL'. Curious wording there, and it almost sounds like he has been forced into quitting?

Could he have failed the fit & proper test?

The interesting thing for me is it sound like it's the RFL who have vetoed his involvement. I wonder why they've taken that viewpoint but it's not something we're likely to find out.

The club have got to start to come out with good news and sound like they're on a firm footing. It's just one bad news story after another at the moment which is worrying.

The club has to start coming out with the truth. Constant lies of omission are all we seem to get.

The club is treating the fans as idiots while all the time begging us to buy season tickets.

The statement is a bit vague but it does, read in a certain way, suggest he was asked to stand down by the RFL. Can't see this being correct to be honest, after all it's only a couple of weeks ago they whole lot of them were given the all clear to carry on. Can't believe even the RFL are so stupid as to get that wrong...I don't think...

Well I sincerely hope the new 'new' board are planning to address the fans pretty bloody sharp about what the hell is going on up at Odsal. From the outside we just look a complete shambles right now.

The big problem is, even if we do get some sort of explanation.. How many supporters actually trust what the club tell us anymore?

Herein lies part of the problem at the moment. While I'm not saying people should blindly believe everything they're told, I'm pretty sure the Club could come out about now and tell people that the sky is blue and there'd still be those who wouldn't believe them.

As for Whitcut, from the T&A piece it certainly reads as if the RFL didn't like him all that much. If it really has been a direct result of 'conversations with the RFL', I'd like to see some statement from them, as well as the Club.
