| I was in the Pub on Saturday night and heard that Franny had agreed a deal withy Ian Kirke to come to Bradford next Season a few weeks ago.
But then he was offered another 15k at Leeds so stayed.
I personally dont rate him. Thoughts anyone else. I think he is an average joe playing in a decent pack. who does about 25-30 mins a game to give the good players like peacock & Lului a breather.
Before anyone has a pop at me only repeating what we were talking about in the Pub Sat.

| I hope it was cobblers because Kirke is another one of those forwards who "looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane". I'd be disappointed if Cummins thought he was the sort of player that could do a job for us.
We need some mongrel in the pack and someone who can get the team going forward.

| I also heard something in the pub on Saturday, I nipped over to Sydney for the day and bumped into Roy Asotasi and he said he agreed a deal with the bulls five year ago to come over next season but something else has cropped up now
Strangely I think I mine is more believable than yours Joe

| My uncles' third cousins' aunties' postman has a dog that heard, from another dog, that Elvis Presley will be unveiled as a Bull for 2014 alongside JFK, John Lennon and Dame Marc Bolan.
Improbable? Perhaps but again, I suspect, a bit more believable than a Joe Tamani "scoop".

The guy posted a rumour he heard in the pub - what is wrong with that?
This is a forum where we can discuss such rumours, so why are you constantly giving this guy a hard time?
I'm not sure if Joe has done something to personally offend you, but rumours are posted on forums all the time so I think you need to get over what issues you clearly have.
Back on topic, Ian Kirke is a poor player in a good Leeds side. One the one hand I'm glad he is staying at Leeds, but on the other hand I'm not really sure who else there is available. We need props desperately, but they seem to be in short supply.
I'd wondered if we could try and tempt Crossley back from Fev. Has anyone been following his progress this season? I know he did quite well at Dewsbury last year, got their Player of the Year Award iirc.

| I was in the pub on Saturday and heard that the incredibly hot barmaid fancied me and wanted to take me outside.
Turns out what I heard talking was the beer.

Completely improbable. You can't expect us to believe that your uncle's third cousin's aunt actually encountered a real live postman.
What mugs do you take us for?

| No thanks. 3 reasons.
1. His name bugs me - Kirk as a surname should not have a letter "e" at the end.
2. He is decidedly ugly
3. He is not very good.
Fine at Leeds where they can afford to have a journeyman in the squad but we are needing signings that would make an impact.

| Ian Kirke is one of those players that when he signs for your team, everyone says he's underrated and a workhorse. When he is about to leave your team, or he signs for someone else, he's useless, a fairy and has never been any good.
The truth exists somewhere inbetween. But I'm more inclined to go towards the latter.

| Being from Donny Kirke is no doubt hung like a donkey, a great hit with the girls & hard as nails. Unbelievably he is a very average rugby player.

Three qualities but only one of any help on a rugby pitch - during game time - unless you are a bit of an exhibitionist

Jesus I hope that's not true! We're told money's tight and we're not able to afford to spend the salary cap then we find out the club are considering spending money on decomposing corpses

Ha ha, you clearly remember Wagga's helicopter!!
To look at the situation in a realistic manner, we're only going to be able to afford 'average' players for a while and we've already been told there will be no 'marquee' signings. Hopefully, at worst, we can hold on to the above average ones we've already got but I think a few could do with winding their expectations in a bit.
At the end of the day, a team of 'average' players should leave us in the middle of SL, given where we are, I'd take that for the next couple of years.
