Looks like it's on the cards, bit of a no brainer really, he's done very well so far.

He's a great kicker and seems a decent bloke but (I know this is against the grain) I don't think he's anything special on the wing. Full of heart but doesn't have much in terms of size or pace. A few times this season I would have liked to have seen him back him self after a half break down the wing but he's come inside and taken the tackle.

All that been said though he's still young at 22 and I would be happy to see him given a new deal, given the situation at the club we're not going to be signing up another big Les for a while!

He's 6'2" apparently so not exactly a shortar5e. He looks a bit slight but he's still young and got time to fill out, Kearney is no giant but is deceptively strong.

He's not blessed with amazing pace or power or an amazing step but he's got decent skills and a rugby brain as he showed on Thursday night.

I was impressed with him at fullback and could see him as a centre at some stage.

A definite signing for me. My daughter would never go again if they didn't!

Not quick, not strong, average feet sounds like the description of a poor winger but I agree there's a very decent player in there, just not on the wing. I thought he played well at fullback and could also see him at centre.

Good squad player and you cannot fault his goal kicking this year. It gives the team a lift when you know you can rely on the goal kicker who gets a good % of touch line kicks over. I have to admit my playing experience was mainly union at uni but the first 15 kicker - who had a double barrel surname, public school etc was only 50:50 for a kick like the Fox Wembley special and it was a total p******r watching the opposition full backs knocking them over from the half way or the touch line. A long way round of saying give the lad a contract!

Trouble is, we can't offer anyone a contract until the RFL pull their finger out and say we will definitely have a licence and be playing in SL next year.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but we could be in a position to lose up to 13 players at the end of this season and the longer it goes on the weaker we could likely be next year as those OOC players will have to start looking for guaranteed employment for next season.

We're financially behind the black ball this year, will we be lacking players to make up a team next year?

I'd give him a new deal. Wasn't convinced when we signed him, but he's done enough for a new contract, probably needs to back himself a little more guy that's a confidence issue.

He did brilliantly well for Sammuts first try, a difficult skill to pass back on the inside at full pace.

Sign him up. Been surprised about him. Excellent goalkicker (which we knew), but his general play has been very good. Not selfish, as he's set up several tries. All positive as far as Fozzies concerned.

I agree the lack of a definite future could be off-putting in regards to signings, but we can give 'provisional' contracts to players who indicate they want to stay. At the end of the day, all contracts are 'provisional' on the club giving them remaining in SL.

I thought the club were expecting a renewal/statement from the RFL shortly anyway?

RFL were quoted as saying they were meeting club in next two weeks to discuss it. And that was before Easter so hopefully well hear something imminently. Maybe reason for fans forum?

Always said he would be a cracking signing for you guys!
Could he be the new Deacon if he sticks around long enough perhaps?

Any news on the injury?
